i used to camp in the bed of a pick'em up truck. that was rough. and scary sometimes. thar's bears in them thar hills.
for me, tent camping is preferable to any other sort of camping possibility. |

I'm sat watchign the rain running down the window and bouncing off the floor. Its kinda calming.
I've never been camping before. Not with the campfire and tent kinda thing. Closest I've been is in a caravan lol. I think I'd enjoy it though - provided I didn't have to find my own breakfast lol. Or set up in the rain. Or eat Mo's camping breakfast _____________________

The place I like to camp is in a national forrest at the base of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. It's not really roughing it because you can park your car about 100 yards from your camp site and there are bathrooms and showers that you can drive to in 5-10 minutes. I have seen bears there though.

I've never met a tent that doesn't leak at least a tiny bit and even if there really is no leak... all your bedding gets damp just from the air. And... if someone has to go out of the tent and comes back in it's real hard not to track in mud. _____________________

There's a mountain stream to bathe in (which is quite exhilerating, even in the summer) and for anything else... well... you go 50 yards into the woods and dig a hole. _____________________
