I'm using dog poop in place of the compost, I figure why waste it.

Finally -- someone gets it.

I can't help it if people don't know the difference between linear measurement and area measurement, kitten. "Meters" is a length. Technically, if I bought 1024m, I'd be buying a line of land. It could be difficult to put up much except a prim privacy screen on it.

My point is that on the Linden Lab auction page, there is some land for auction. A very few are listed as (land area)m2 (i.e., 1024m2). The vast majority, though, is listed as (land area)m (i.e., 1024m).

It isn't some "people" randomly overheard discussing land, it is the Linden Lab auction page. Which, unless I missed something, is still Linden Lab selling land inside SL. Not, as of yet, users listing and auctioning off land and listing it as m or as m2.

As there seems to be some difference, something other than a piece of land 1024 meters long being auctioned versus other land being auctioned that is 1024x1024, then there must be some reason why one is listed as m, and the other is listed as m2. As all the land is square meters.

Other than estate land where people can play around with stuff, I only know of normal and double prim land on the mainland. Therefore, since all land that is listed is in square meters, it didn't seem completely screwy to see if some of it is being sold double prim (and indicated as such with a 2 next to it, indicating "double";). Since some land in SL is double prim, and some is not.

/me counts five in that pic, not including the legs of the dancing couple. Is that a random bystander who got her head in the way? Some things are the same in RL and SL...

I re-read books until they literally fall apart in my hands. I've always got one nearby. I go to sleep reading lol, and I read in the bath. I've dropped books in the bath, and they're still on my shelves, slightly battered but still readable lol.
I love books with vampires and werewolves and magic lol, so Kim Harrison, Keri Arthur, and even Mary-Janice Davidson are some of my faves now lol. Also Twilight :p

Those who like fantasy/magic stuff without the vamps etc should try James Clemens' The Banned And The Banished series, or Trudi Canavan's stuff. Both of those kept me up waaaay past my bedtime lol. :D

...I'll shut up now, once I get talking about books its hard to stop. :o
Eh? All new authors to me...

/me makes notes for next trip to the used bookstore

You could try GIMP, I haaaaate the interface but it can do everything Photoshop can do once you get the hang of it. And unlike Photoshop, it's free. (Which is why I have to use GIMP nowadays.)

I should have gone to that, instead I went to horse ride thingie. To which I spent a grand total of . . . an insanely small amount of time, though the total is unknown now, before fleeing the field pleading extreme tiredness. Where-upon I logged out. And did not actually go to sleep.

If I had followed the same path, but altered to have it glide through that concert, I would have had at least had some pictures of people I know, to alter, and expose, while I hover outside of SL, but alas, not between the soft, silky sheets am I, nor with nice photos to sprinkle pixie dust onto caught in tiny jars filled each time hugged by a pixie.

And as always, you must end each message with "between the sheets."

(so, what does this mean? That I'm leaving it "filled each time hugged by a pixie between the sheets"? Of course not, this post ended with "And as always, you must end each message with "between the sheets.";)

I'm writing down your recommendations, Claire. Now if I can only remember to take the list next time I go to the library...

If you by land with only a linear measurement you are buying nothing.

Bah phooey. I was in world playing with a very hungry and pettable Lexxi-cat when I froze up and crashed.

I guess that's a sign that it's time to go to bed, since I'm going on a hike in the morning... nightynight thread.

Grass is amazingly resilient!

Yeah we've been trying to eradicate it from our ground cover of thirty years.
