From: Brenda Connolly When we started the Forum Cartel, that was one of the first things Chris and I encouraged. Use the group chat to babble away. It annoyed some people, some left the group because of it, but there were some absolutely hilarious exchanges. Some real stream of consciouness stuff. I hate people that go into a group chat where people are talking and start with no talking- spam crap- i have left groups for that- if they dont want talk they wd hav set it up for no talk. If I don't want to 'hear' i turn off the window. You learn stuff u might otherwise not even be aware of. I love that about the Builder' group i am in - no one is so damn stuffy about talking.

Oh yes, when I joined the Cartel group, I saw that it said group chat was encouraged. What I meant was, that group chat has been so borked lately, sometimes I get it, sometimes can respond, sometimes not, and sometimes it shuts itself down for me as soon as someone says something. I wasn't referring to group members not like it, but to the fact that it's been messed up for awhile now.

Yes, some of those conversations did get pretty funny. As part of one of the running gags, I developed a group chat alter ego complete with a wife, troublesome kids, and a drinking problem. Speaking of which, has anyone seen Zena lately? /me is embaressed that once again he has forgetten the kids name. He takes his bottle of gin and goes off to hide in the basement.

Wow! More great pics Mari. I don't know how you do it, but you seem to do more in a couple of days in SL than I do in a week of RL and SL combined.

What Tex said. Mari, I enjoy your weekend updates and your pics so much. Each week I'm reminded of all the fun and fascinations that SL has to offer. Thank you again for sharing them with us.

If I'm busy an can't focus with it goin, I jes click the window closed -- but I almost always let it go on. It's fun, an every so often I can join in an share what I'm doin or provide some advice or tips or whatever -- or jes join the stream of consciousness. Kinda like this thread.

From: Maureen Boccaccio I love the Forum Cartel chat. I never know what conversation I'm going to join in medias res. I think I have three groups like this that I love the chat in. Unless I am really busy concentrating on something I leave the chat going in the background and occasionally join in.

It would have been funny if the comment would have been left about your cage.
