I like you too. :)

that is all I could possibly need

Edit..
(except maybe a y for my keyboard so i didnt have to keep going back and adding them- that does not of course explain all the other letters that randomly play hide and go seek)

In the end, I did enlarge my head a little...enough to have to re-edit most of my hair. But I'm still nowhere near the "artistic ideal". Nevertheless, I think I look MAHvelous.

Indeed you do.

Like anything else, the proportions guide is a GUIDE...and beauty remains in the eye of the beholder.

Indeed. I'm of two minds about it. If you want to look "normal", it seems to be a pretty important resource, as long as it's not treated as gospel.

On the other hand, SL is about fantasy for some of us, so why can't we have fantastical shapes?

And it seems clear to me that SL is way too far gone for us to ever see standardization of scale, between avatars, builds, and furniture.

I made my shape from one of the starter avvie shapes. I've had the same shape since I started, and though I've edited it slightly a couple of times so that I don't look too much like a kid when I wear certain clothes, I've pretty much stayed the same - I don't feel like 'me' in any other shape.
I like the idea of the proportion thingie, but I'm happy with the shape I have and can't see me changing it anytime soon.

I just need to work out separate shapes for my alts now. One has the awful starter shape, and the other has a copy of the one I wear lol. Maybe I'll try using the proportion kit for them.

Wow, were you too tall before or too short now?

The idea is to use the height of the head as the reference length, and adjust the body from that. To get an RL realistic shape. So I must have been too tall before, at least from that perspective.

My height was a function of the long ago freebie mod shape I started with when I arrived in SL, immediately customized beyond recognition. I've actually been shortening it for months in tiny increments.

It's surprising how much sense of "self" some people have invested into the body shape of their avatar. Seeing the replies here, I see I'm not alone.

Having my room on the ground floor can be great sometimes. I have a great view of the garden from my computer desk.
There's a guy stood outside, painting the fence for next door and doing a bit of gardening. He's just outside my window and he has his top off :p

is he sitting in his convertible? :p .oO(w00t!)

I have a son now 25 years old. He was born premature and as a result has had eye problems all his life. He lives on his own, has a job but no medical insurance. I was able to cover him under my insurance until he turned 25.

Yesterday he had outpatient eye surgery. His doctor says it went fine and after a bit of recovery he should be back to normal (normal for him at least). So, praise Jebus on that one.

oh Tex. I am so glad the surgery went well. I will pray that he heals quickly, and with no complications.

You know, I have never seen a gun in person. All I know about guns has come from fiction books that mention them, and me looking them up on google so I know wth the book is talking about lol.

grip this baby and pull the trigger, and your life is changed forever. in a good way. :D

The reason you've never seen a gun is that your Government is aware that if the people had them, they would use them to shoot your NHS.

(3Ring...you're in love with a slut. Double action, eughh. Here's my darling...)

mmmmmmmm purty girl. so shiny.

mine's only double action on the first shot. and she's a 15 shot. and matte black with tritium sights, to be used in the stealth of night. i like to be sneaky, and anonymous. ;)

Amara absolutely towers over many people! I was standing next to a girl yesterday who came up to my chest- later that night a guy too who was much shorter than I - but I cannot see changing my height- really who cares- my choice their choice - this is OUR world.

ha ha ha ha 3Ring is even taller than Amaranthim. :o

Re: shapes, I made both of my own shapes, and I think they are fairly realistic with respect to the things that are out of whack on many SL-shapes - arm length, head size, body fat, boob size, etc.

Madhu's face is a little more cartoony than realistic - talking about shape here, not the blue skin! :D But her body is, I think, very realistically proportioned.

Carter is probably a little tall and her legs are a bit long, but with her body thickness I think the overall shape works really well. And her shorter torso means that her arms are long enough, which is often the most egregious problem with SL shapes.

I'm really proud of both my shapes. Madhu's shape is what my body would look like in RL if I lost a few (*cough*) pounds. Carter's shape is what my body would look like in RL if we had shape sliders. :D
