Cheers, Elora Thanks Lil!!!! And Happy Rez Day to you!!!! I finally just caught up with the thread, now that we're back from our lunch and I've had a chance to digest a bit. @ Brenda - we went to Ill Amici in Linden finally. Seriously "old time" sort of place, waiters must be there since the day it opened and I bet they have not redecorated since then either. Exactly the kind of Italian restaurant I love. Really great meal, although my Clams Oreganata had a few shell bits in one of them (there were none in Ghostys Clams Casino). I decided to overlook this faux pas because the flavor of the dish was so damn good, and everything else we ordered was fantastic as well. _____________________

Rio, *try* to explain to her. But preface it by saying, "This could be hard for you to understand, and if it gets to be too much a distraction to my therapy, I want to drop it." She could be a great therapist, and still hung up on a wrong idea of what SL. You could spend your whole session going, "No, no, no - it isn't like that!" And then go home thinking, "We didn't talk about me at all." You should pre-emptively create the option of taking it off the table if discussing it doesn't work out. If not, I could send my mother over to explain SL. ![]() . _____________________

In places like that, you don't mind the little things like shell bits, it's the sort of thing you might do at home yourself. So, I bought the Empire State Building today. I was in this antique book shop, I think it's called Tigers, and they have a version with an apartment you can live in. Never mind I don't have the 4096 of land needed to rezz it on. _____________________

In many ways you are correct. It is just that many of us do not do well in RL social situations, especially if there is very many people. I am really tired of therapists telling me that "I really need to work on this and learn how to be better and more comfortable in social stuff". Why? Who gets to decide what is or is not normal? What is or is not healthy? What is or is not right for me? I am still able to function in the real world. I go to work, I am damn good at my job, I do the things around the house that I am suppose to do -- bills, laundry, housecleaning, cooking meals, grocery shopping, lawn maintenance, etc... So what is really wrong with the fact that my definition of fun is to hang around in SL exploring, dancing, shopping, and chatting with folks. Why does "healthy fun" have to include outdoor activities and social stuff? Okay - end rant. _____________________

Just got back from court - noticed all the amusing "wedding" cakes. Coincidently, the reason for being there was to get officially rid of my husband; so here is my celebratory cake to add to the pile ![]() Now, Ghosty and I are going out to have a nice lunch so see you all later! ![]() _____________________

FYI - there was a thread across the street about hair, and there was some wistful posting about "wet" hair.
Marianne posted this: Wet hair: Bewitched sell some hair they call "Wet t-shirt hair". It is supposed to look like wet hair. Demo it and see if you like it. I've only seen the ad. ![]() |

My ex didn't want to sell the house and I did. He used it to hold over my head until one day I said, fine you live in it I'm getting an apartment(and did). Finally it is being sold now and it's been over a year. So I should be somewhat rich soon. Virtual crack for everyone wewt! _____________________
