Have you ever had one of Wolfgang Puck's breakfast pizzas?

They're pretty good - if you are really hungry. I had half of one in an airport one morning.

.
That looks totally sickening.

I do believe in reincarnation. I also believe most of us will probably do the best in the present because we don't have much memory/knowledge of other incarnations. I am kind of curious about both though. ;)

i'll only believe, if in my next life i can come back as you. :)

Okay here is a question for you threadies. As you all know,I am nuts. So I go to therapy once a week. Now I never mention SL or anyone related to my computer. Just real life stuff. My kids, my ex, my mother's passing etc.... Now ofcourse SL is a huge part of my life and so are my online friends from no matter where I know them from... But how do you explain that to a therapist without sounding kind of weird? I mean would you bother? I don't see the point really, I think it would just give me a headache trying to explain SL,WOW, Face book, my message board etc.....

Anyway how important do you think it is that I should tell her about my online relationships? Do you think it matters in the grand scheme of therapy? Take note, that I am mandated in this state to go to therapy because of the kinds of medicines I am on. So It's not like I'm there cause I want to be and expect anything from it. Just wondering...

sssssshhhhhh your therapist might show up inworld - and then....

ha ha no, i would tell. it is a big part of your life.

And they could very well be right. I'm not talking about Rio specifically, but all of us. That being said... that is certainly not a reason to avoid bringing it up. I'd say it's a good argument FOR bringing it up.
In many ways you are correct. It is just that many of us do not do well in RL social situations, especially if there is very many people. I am really tired of therapists telling me that "I really need to work on this and learn how to be better and more comfortable in social stuff".

Why? Who gets to decide what is or is not normal? What is or is not healthy? What is or is not right for me? I am still able to function in the real world. I go to work, I am damn good at my job, I do the things around the house that I am suppose to do -- bills, laundry, housecleaning, cooking meals, grocery shopping, lawn maintenance, etc... So what is really wrong with the fact that my definition of fun is to hang around in SL exploring, dancing, shopping, and chatting with folks. Why does "healthy fun" have to include outdoor activities and social stuff?

Okay - end rant.

Unfortunately, from personal experience, I can attest to the fact that many of them still seem to try and understand you, judge for themselves what is good and bad for you, and then try to change you to fit their definition of 'normal and balanced'.

I'm a skeptic in many aspects of life and my own therapy experiences has not changed that view any. I just recommend going slow and monitoring her response.

And WTF is up with these forums this morning -- they seem much slower and back to sometimes pages timing out trying to load. Anyone else or just me on this?

I agree.

There is nothing wrong with that approach. I had a good experience, it most likely saved my life, but there are definitely bad people in the business. No one was a bigger skeptic of it than me, and I still am in many ways. Just as with your MD/OB/Gyn, or your lawyer, or financial advisior, whatever the profession may be, you have to be comfortable with them for sure, and you can't let their credentials intimidate you into not having an active role in things.
