Good morning Threadland
![]() /me sends happy-happy, joy-joy to all. @ Rio - Your Royal Highness, it was time the world recognized Your greatness - do the boots get teeny tiaras too? @ Lula- gosh you are so adorable ![]() @ 3Jammies- - Yes- Sleep over! I got jammies too ![]() @ Weston- that was a great review and to be honest the only thing I have read that made me want to go see it. I hate the lag fests that all these big events are- have yet to actually even attend a Hair Fair, stood on the outskirts once. But your descriptions intrigued me and I shall put it hgh on my TTD list. Thank you. @ Mo - Thank you for the lovely breakfast ![]() And then just generally - CX has his Bourbon Street Mall up again- it looks super nice. Still kinda ghost townish cause it's brand new but you guys shd take a look just for the sake the build. Really pretty - made me wonder where the Ripley's was it looked so real ![]() _____________________

Am I the only person in SL that could care less about this Zindra place? I don't. I don't go to things like the Hair Fair or SL6B, either. (Sorry, Mari! I would go to your build if you post the LM.) I try sometimes, but if it doesn't work the first time, I give up. I tried this morning to get into the Hair Fair, but the sim was full, so... . _____________________

I hear you Seven. I can't stand lag. I would have loved to go to the hair fair though, and maybe could have dealt with the lag if I had money. I really need to stop spending all my lindens on virtual crack and prostitutes. Sigh.
BTW Anyone have a throne I can borrow? ![]() _____________________

I'm not much of a hair maven, so Hair Fair never interested me. I went to the Shoe Fest last year, and was disappointed. Besides the horrific lag, I found very little that I wanted to buy. I generally stay away from "Events" anyway.

It is difficult . . . extremely annoying to listen to a man putting on a very fake effeminate voice to pretend to be female for the parts that corresponded to female characters. Again, the main character is female, and the sample available to be heard involved the narrator narrating a snippet from the beginning of the book, which involved a man. |

I know what you mean. If they would just read the book without trying to do voices it is so much better. But if the main character is a woman, I wonder why they did not get a woman reader to record the book? I don't know if this is true, so I will leave out the author's name. However, he is an author whose name you all know. Supposedly near the end of his life he went to live with this couple and he told them that he was the reincarnation of a female writer of the Elizabethan era. He used to read her books to them in the evenings in a falsetto. . _____________________

But if the main character is a woman, I wonder why they did not get a woman reader to record the book? Having listened to a ton of books on CD, it doesn't bother me like it used to, but I agree, if the main character is female, I'd like to hear a woman read it. I know it would be cost prohibitive, but it would be great to have multiple readers to cover a range of characters. _____________________
