From: JamesMichael Morane But then price tags just baffled me.....they were confusing as hell. It was like: price is X after Y rebate plus an additional savings after a C rebate.....but the price could be lower with all those rebates plus x,y,z adjustments to your service contract....arrrrggghhhhhh
justgimmeadamnphone! /me coughs then mumbles something about no rebates to worry about at Wally World. /me hates rebates. From: LittleMe Jewell I have been looking at one of the models with a QUERTY keyboard only because I do sometimes spend a bit of time texting back and forth with my kids. /me coughs again then mumbles about the enV2 for $8.88, no rebates. /me needs to take care of that cough.

Well at least our primary home location and store appear to have come back up (offline all day yesterday). I only know this because I just checked my Subscribe-o-matic stats and someone clicked to join there three hours ago I spent most of yesterday fighting to get out of Hyles, bouncing along closed borders, slogging into and around Hair Fair, grabbing free boots and paying for pricey ones that were missing from the database, dealing with two Xstreet Magic Boxes that weren't working (and thus dealing with support staff), and then sorting my inventory. Good job I had soothing music to accompany me in RL (Robin Guthrie's "Continental" album - he of the ex-Cocteau Twins). Oh, and I was mentioning the excessive use of sculpties at Hair Fair? Here's me, waiting for a giant grey breast to rez into a doorway at the eXceSs stall there: P.S. Amara, you should wear short hair more often. That cropped style really suits you.

From: Skell Dagger Hair Fair was hell (waaaay too many sculpted prims used in the build). Took me ages to get in, I found the one stall I wanted (eXceSs) fast enough, but it took about 30 minutes to rez. But I have new hair, and lots of it. Yay! The one on the right's the store freebie, for July 4th. I haven't managed to get over to the Hair Fair! Great pics, though. And wow, the freebie hair's a good catch!

From: Feral Mistwalker DISCLAIMER: I sell cel phones (by the sea shore) for a living, but I don't get commission so I'm honest. But, I love selling so I'm going to go into salesperson mode for a moment LOL
Seriously, check out WM before you go to the corporate stores, free == free there (not free + tax on full retail, ugh) also their free phones are the same ones that corporate stores sell for $80+.
For Verizon, if you want a basic phone with good sound, check out the Motorola 755. It's got a rubber surface (no slip, no scratches), camera + mp3 and comes with a decent Motorola bluetooth headset. Best of all, 100% free at WM. Oooh, and another new visitor to the thread! Welcome Feral! For your first post:

Pep (In fact, this whole thread would benefit from auto-deletion every 24 hours.) If you ever do talk the Mods into doing that you do know that you'll be banned from every VW for life. I'm not even going to attempt punctuation in that one.

From: Rhonda Huntress Is it too early for coffee if you have to wait for the barista? Coffee? That picture woke me up. From: Skell Dagger Good job I had soothing music to accompany me in RL (Robin Guthrie's "Continental" album - he of the ex-Cocteau Twins). The Cocteau Twins! I grew up in the 70's and was heavily into progressive rock -- you know all that airy fairy cosmic music that sometimes sounded more like the mating rituals of boron eating Rigellian land mantas in 13/8 time than like music. I HATED it when the 80's came along with all the punk and alternative back-to-basics lackadaisical musicianship garbage. Then someone played the Cocteau Twins Treasure album for me (especially the song Ivo) and all my preconceived notions changed! I bought everything I could by them and moved from there to other 4AD artists like Dead Can Dance, Xmal Deutschland and others, and then on to other artists making weird beautiful music on into the present day. But it was The Cocteau Twins that pulled me out of the 70's. I know Elizabeth Frazier had done some interesting things lately - including parts of the soundtrack to the Lord of the Rings movies, but I'll have to check out Robin Guthrie's solo work. Thanks for the tip. Of course I still like my mating rituals of boron eating Rigellian land mantas in 13/8 time too. Oh dear -- I've gone on another music rant that gets everyone's eyes glazing over. Sorry. Please carry on with the pretty vanity pictures.
