I prefer him with the makeup. He doesn't do anything for me without it. But then, as my own appearance shows, I love makeup.

3Ring (I think) was acting like she was catching something - or vice versa really. The cold catches us. Hope it isn't what I had. It was wicked! But she's still posting. I couldn't for a while.

Oh -- and the Who were wicked awesome! I saw 'em in '75 and my ears are still ringing.

lol, I like you...;)

Well I think you are drop dead gorgeous but i have only seen your avatar- if this guy was an avatar i could deal with the makeup- it's the thought of an RL person walking around with all that muck that makes me cringe- it's just me~ in rl i wear face powder - period- if i dress up i wear lipstick. It just feels icky on me. At haloween i wear white face at times and heay black shadow and vampy things- it looks good but my face feels like it is about to fall off.

Speaking of the Who...

I saw them in 1982 I believe it was, right after those people died in the "stadium seating" incident? A group of friends and I went to see them in Philly, and it too, was come and sit where you care to kind of seating.

We were wasted on mushrooms (or LSD, or mescaline, who remembers?), completely out of our minds. All we could think about at the beginning of the concert was those people who had died. But as the concert got going we totally forgot about it, thankfully.

In the middle of the concert, suddenly they set off a bunch of fire bombs on the stage. I'm sure they were smaller than we imagined them to be but in our addled brains, we all thought the stage was blowing up. All of us started to scramble, yelling that the place was blowing up and we were going to die

Of course, we all found this highly (no pun intended) amusing on the way home IN THE CAR (!!!!!!!).

If this isn't a case for NOT doing mind altering drugs, I don't know what is lol. Sure didn't stop us but when I think back on it, it's amazing that I got through my 20's :o

Yeah the avatar thing is OK...Skell looks great..it just really doesn't do it for me in RL..maybe it's age..he's too young or I'm too old.....I kinda thought Eddie Izzard had it going baaccc in the day. Or maybe it is my visceral dislike for anything and everything connected to American Idle

I remember that. A few years later I wanted to go see the Police at Shea Stadium, and my Dad didn't want me to go. Being a Fireman, he was a crowd control freak anyway. He finally said OK, but I had to go with my brother and his girlfriend. He was not thrilled about that.

Yeah the avatar thing is OK...
In RL I always cringe when I see anyone with heavy makeup 'cause mascara and eyeliner both irritate my eyes, even hypoallergenic. And most younger folks I see with elaborate makeup bear distinct signs of not doing the skincare required to stay looking nice *cough*zits*cough*.

But I think I saw a little Aveeno bottle sticking out of Skell's pocket the other day at the hangout, so I feel good about him :)

And, like I say, he does the schtick REALLY well!

That was part of it too- the age thing- but i have no clue how old Skell is in RL - to me a man is not even interesting til at least his mid to late thirties and even then it's pushing the envelope. Have always prefered men my age or older.

when i'm sick, i try to keep my mind busy. otherwise, i just lay there and suffer and feel sorry for myself, and moan and whine.

but, i don't guess i was that sick. 2 days ago i felt pretty crappy. i feel okay today. it's finally settled in my sinuses, and my fever is gone (which was the worst part). and i'm not all emo today like i was the past 2 days.

i just have a little cold. i'm fine.

glad you are better too. :)

now see, i think he's even cuter without the makeup. but really, i'm attracted to his presence (he's very quietly commanding) and his VOICE! that boy can sing! and i still think he's totally a cutie pie.

@Lil: The Savoy

I second the Savoy! If you like straight-up jazz, and a low-key atmospere, this is a great place!

/me waves at the Threadies, poking my head in after a little RL mini-vacay... :)

Wow, I feel seriously out-classed in the post count department! Hee hee... I'll bet even Pep has more posts than I do. /me hangs her head in shame for not doing her part.
