Seconding- i am loling :)- then agian by 2012 we may all be riding horses!- (not such a bad idea, we can collect the poop to fertilize our gardens- hey - we gotta eat somehow  )

Good idea. By then I'm sure the supermarkets will all be "bailed out" and we'll be standing in line all day long :p

OK- I was all set to make some pointed comparison to Cuban food rationing and long market lines but forget all that- check out thsi wonderul little website i found -

http://links.org.au/node/1030/19001

Sample: "Housing: There is no privately owned property in Cuba. All the housing is owned by the government. Every Cuban is entitled to a place to live at no personal cost. Apparently, after the revolution people just remained where they were living or moved into housing abandoned by the wealthy who left Cuba. While people do not own their homes or apartments, they can pass their residence on to their children or to family members. If a residence becomes empty, it is assigned to a new family or individual. There does exist a sort of informal trading of living space. If someone wants to move, a sign is put up in the window or on the porch. If someone is interested in trading living spaces, both parties must agree, and then they just trade spaces. "

Never mind that this "redistribution of wealth" was accomplished by stealing people's homes out from under them -but ain't communism grand?

ROFL - "the wealthy that left Cuba!" My parents were so WEALTHY they mowed lawns for a living til my yfather died at 72! Yeah real stinking wealthy!

The problem is the alternative to that in this country has just been the other extreme. The Corporatism that the the Right has embraced over the last 20 years or so is just another form of Facsism if you strip it all away. Free market Capitalism has been dead in this country for a long time. It is ironic that the ChiComs have more thriving capitalist economy than we do.

After 2 innings...Yankees 1 Mets 0

I saw this in the news this morning ... little orphan cougar, he packed up his bowl and now he's ready to move to a zoo! I thought: well, he's good to go, just like we are if the new forums don't work out!

I appreciate what everyone's doing with setting up new forums just in case, but just like this little guy, I'm gonna stick with this comfy blue bowl we post in until they kick us out!
:)

p.s. copyrighted photo, no scarfing it for icanhaz...!

I've been very busy the past few weeks. So much has happened ever since my hardware "died". I'm trying to work on it.

Until then, things will be different from here... success in the excerpts that I've heard of, and other points of my view.

Good afternoon. I hope today shines well.

*waves to Warder*

Sorry about the hardware crisis. :( Hope there's a change for the better soon...

Oh, I stayed home, entertaining an out-of-town visitor... Saw Star Trek, loved it, went to dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse... Without a doubt the best steak I've ever eaten. I was moaning with pleasure the whole dinner! :p

Bad news is, my brother was hospitalized with respiratory problems on Tuesday. He's going home today, but I'm really worried about him. They did a pulmonary biopsy, so I'll be holding my breath til he gets the results, which may be as long as next Thursday. :(

Oh, Allie, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. :( I'll keep him in my thoughts.

But, I'm glad you had a good vaycay. :)

STAR TREK WAS AWESOME !!!

LMAO!!

And I have no idea what he's singing about. :o

she said I'm going out with my girlfriends
Marguerita's at the holiday inn
Oh have mercy my only thought
Was tequila makes her clothes fall off
I told her put an extra layer on
I know what happens when she drinks patron?
Her closets missing half the things she bought
Yea tequila makes her clothes fall off

She'll start by kicking out of her shoes
Lose an earring in her drink
Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall
Drop a contact down the sink

Them panty hose aint gonna last too long
If the DJ puts Bon Jovi on
She might come home in a table cloth
Yea tequila makes her clothes fall off

She can handle any champagne brunch
A bridal shower with Bacardi punch
Jello shooters full of Smirnoff
But tequila makes her clothes fall off

She'll start by kicking out of her shoes
Lose an earring in her drink
Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall
Drop a contact down the sink

She don't mean nothing
She just havin fun
Tomorrow she say oh what have I done
Her friends will joke about the stuff she lost
Yea tequila makes her clothes fall off
Oh tequila makes her clothes fall off
Oh tequila makes her clothes fall off

I am sure it's just a question of time - the curve is different for different people. I am just upset i go hit by the backsplash- but he will figure it out with time.
