The Make Him Over Hunt started today. So I guess I am honor bound to try to pick some of the stuff up.

ahem...anyone spot a cheat sheet yet? :D
Um, Rika has a nice little HUD that can help you find the items at each location.

Is it cocktail time yet? My head is spinning from reading that thread about being a short ava. What a mistake that was. I really could use a stiff drink right about now and I'm hoping Lindal hasn't finished off the tequila :p

Husband just called me. He arrived home and after greeting dogs and putting stuff down he heard a light call of, "..excuse me... excuse me.." My mom had fallen at some point and was laying behind the sofa table where she had dragged her self trying to get up. :eek: . . . I think i need to get one of those 'help i've fallen' thingies -


If she'll use it. My mother was too stubborn for it.

One day she called me at work and said she had fallen down the three steps to the den (which had a tiled floor over very hard concrete) and had hit her head. I came rushing home, found her lying with her head in a pool of gray and cream convoluted glop!! She was squinting up at me with her one good eye and talking about how she felt stupid for falling. It was like a scene out of horror movie -- I think I was in shock, wondering how she could be talking to me with her brains all out on the floor.

Hands shaking I started to call 911, but then she was telling me about how she was trying to carry a bowl of chicken soup and forgot to use the handrails . . .:mad: She had landed with her head in the puddle of soup. When I found out she wasn't at death's door, I could have killed her anyway!

Hard as it was for a not very nurturing guy, I will never regret the time I spent as her caregiver - and especially that crazy moment.

I'm glad your mom is relatively unharmed. Cherise her.

Now, here is a hunt that might be a bit more worthwhile than the tons of grid-wide ones that have been going on lately:

(from a notecard I received on it)
The Vendor Support Month (VSM) Hunt. That is not a hunt as usual. There are only 50 high-quality shops taking part. This designer present an especially designed item for this event for only 10 L$ in order to increase the quality of the freebies and to show their own quality of their fashion. You’ll get a list with SLURLs of the participating shops here: http://vendorsupportmonth.blogspot.com

This event will start on June 1st and last the whole month.

Weston, that's an awful story, but kind of sick funny too the way you told it. I'm glad your mom was ok also. Parent - can't live with them, can't live without them (gee, isn't that what they said about us kids too? :o )

Mine is too stubborn too, Weston! And I'm glad your Mom is in OK shape, Amara.

I just started working again, and am in terror of the broken hip event that I will, inevitably, come home and discover. I just want to wrap her up in cotton whenever I leave. She is a force of nature, an evil witch, and a dear dear child, all in one.

I was looking at the website for the Vendor Support Month hunt -- they have a link to every store in the hunt as well as a picture of what you get there. So, if you only want specific items, you can tell from the website where you want to go.

This has become my favorite hunt style.
