Thanks, all, for the sympathies. I just got home (left work early; feel like utter crap) and am about to put my head down for a few more hours of sleep.

I can't even blame it on that, because I don't smoke IRL. Anything and everything sets off the asthma, from pollen to secondhand cigarette smoke, to walking through a cloud of perfume/aftershave left in the wake of someone who over-doused themselves that morning. But this past week or so has been bloody awful :(

/me tosses another pic out there, and is pouting almost as much IRL as he is in said pic.

And now (said Zebedee) it's time for bed.
Poor Baby! Nothing is worse than not being able to breathe right. I hope it gets a lot better for you very soon. Trying to send rose colored healing light to you... Thanks for the picture. I love it.

@ Kaimi - thank you - and the TrollHouse cookies I made with carob so it wd be healthier- the milk was - uhm - soy! Ah yeah, that's the ticket! ;)
:D :D You're so sweet to try and accommodate my eccentricities but actually I think it was the little nose picking trolls in the cookies that were really putting me off. For health reasons I try not to eat three pounds of chocolate every day - but I still want to. I consider carob to be a terrible swindle - at least when it tries to take the place of THE REAL THING. I like soy milk ok, but I don't drink it very often.

Anyway I did get a nice smile out out the TrollHouse cookies so they were a success as far as I'm concerned. :p

/me goes to look up what "Myth Busters" is....
Maureen obviously doesn'e spend as much time flipping channels as I do. On one trip Spouse and I took with his band that show was almost the only thing on tv in every motel room we checked into.

Holiday? I had one personal day in two weeks of visiting suppliers and Delta donated me a flu bug on the last transatlantic leg.

Pep (The personal day in Colorado lived up to expectations though. :D )
Glad you had at least one good day. Hope you feel much better soon. For what it's worth I'm trying to send you some good energy too.

You make a very, very fine Captain. :)
I'd trust her to command my starship.

betwixt you and me, i got the idea last night that he could and should totally step into Freddy Mercury's shoes. he has an incredible voice.
Totally agree.

I bet he thought it was pretty cool to be singing with Queen! It's been obvious from the beginning that Adam was the best of the bunch but I must say in the last few weeks Kris stopped being invisible to me and seemed to be closing the gap a bit. If it had been up to music business experts it would have gone the other way... But I can't really begrudge the results, this was by far the best group of contestants since I've been watching; they all got a lot of exposure and will have no trouble getting good jobs in the future.

From: Seven Okelli
I can't imagine that Kris is going to have much commercial success. Adam will for sure. Winner or no.

.
You might be right about Kris, but then he obviously was popular with the audience. I imagine someone will give a good effort attempting to turn that into money.

From: Oryx Tempel
I dunno... I've bought 3 of Kris' singles from iTunes already and none of Adam's. (Adam's singles were also videos, and I'm hardly going to buy a video to watch it on my tiny iPod. They're expensive!)

I would love it if Adam found a good band; he doesn't seem like a stand-alone sort of guy - looks better in front of a band. Kris can stand alone. I can see him being a mix of James Taylor/Keith Urban - sort of an "almost-country" style.
*Nods thoughtfully.*

Good Morning everyone!!

It's a gorgeous day here in Vancouver today....birds are singing, my flower baskets all in full bloom... Amazing how the sun can lift my spirits.

Big hug to each of you.. have a lovely day!

Even your description of it was lifting. Good morning.

/me yawns.

On various recommendations, I just tried the Shadow Viewer. Not bad at all, even though my new 9600GT was making good use of its cooling fan.

Pic looks best at large or original size, hence the link rather than inline image. Preset is Torley's "Azure Desertation".
I REALLY LOVE this picture!!

Well judging by Skell's shadow pics and those of others I've seen, I know what I'm going to ask for at Christmas. A new video card. :D

I'm off to test a new bread recipe.

Where the hell are all these damn prudes coming out of the woodwork??? (reference to the alleged Violence Against Women thread). Alleged because so far I don't see where she is showing actual violence - just RP - I gree with what Damien said about the griefers - other than being griefed everythign else you have to actually agree to. What a limited world view she has. agreed with - was it Chris? - that said no one RP's being lynched- but I suppose if they wanted to hey what the heck - again no one wd be forcing them to do it. Geesh - when did people forget there is an off button? Treasure was right on the money when she said she can just tp out and turn the thing off.

Ranting here 'cause I gave one straight answer and one silly one and that kind of crap is almost as draining as the 'woe is me' stuff.

Heading in-world - Rock on Thread!

Some of the more extreme sims have hanging animations as part of the sexual play. So it could be argued that some people are RPing lynching.

I would be ok with Rhaorth Antonelli turning the first post in this thread into a large and informative advertisement for her creations.

You know, as a benefit for being forced into being the name attached to this thread when it wasn't her intention to start a 12 million post thread.

I know, I know. See my response to Oryx in the other thread. It's just visceral, you know? Can't always control that kind of thing, it's 'what it means *to me*. Sexual play, wild west rp, haunted houses just arent the first things that come to mind, again *for me*. People have all kinds of associations, many left over from childhood, things bother them on a level that it's hard for them to explain, but there's some reason, something happened to make them feel that way, about that thing, at some point. But I know how to go away, who am I to tell someone he can't have what is fun to him, but must play by my rules. I can go away.

That's what the starters of these threads don't seem to get. *sigh*

Yes, true...but do the voters vote that way? Not sure

like politics, i cannot fathom the moronic voting behaviors of my fellow Americans.
