Good morning, Threadies! Everyone survive St. Patrick's Day? :D
Well, mostly -- until I got to the hangout and noticed a bunch of shamrocks that someone dropped all over the floor.

G4 landed on my shit list when they did that awful Star Trek 2.0 nonsense.

Crap, I had forgotten all about that. Thanks for reminding us. Now I have to bleach my brain.

Ahh, I knew you wouldn't let me down. :D

You kidding?..."Roxy" is one of my favorite albums. I still have the vinyl I pilfered from my brother when he went into the Air Force. I so wanted FZ to sign it, but he left us just before I was actually going to get to finally meet him. :(

My most recent sci-fi fav. was Stargate SG-1. It was the reason I came to SL -- a friend told me there were stargates. And *that* was what kept me going as I wondered through empty sim after empty sim... I wanted to see the stargates and the base in Cheyenne Mountain, and they didn't disappoint me.

But of older shows, yes, Sliders was great, but my fav was The Champions:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062551/

"Craig Stirling, Sharron Macready and Richard Barrett were agents for Nemesis, an international intelligence organization based in Geneva. Their first mission as a team was to investigate some potentially lethal experiments in Communist China, but when they were escaping, their plane was damaged. They crashed into a remote part of the Himalayas where they were rescued by members an unknown civilization. They came away from the encounter with superhuman powers--telepathy, superior strength, memory, etc.--and returned to the outside world as "Champions of law, order and justice"...

I can still picture Sharron watching the number a man dialed on a phone from 100 yards, and Richard drawing a line on the ground, getting a running start, and jumping from the line over a 30 meter wall.

Now I can do those things in SL.

I had the pleasure in 1978. A friend had a part-time job at the civic center near us, Frank would play every year he toured. That year I got asked to help with tear down after the show. I got to meet Frank and Terry Bozzio, yakked for ten minutes before they split for the evening. It was very very cool.

Gay porno spam? Or really mess with him...Viagra ads.

On second thought, even the remotest chance of a teen getting his hands on Viagra is probably a bad idea.

Oh wow, I remember that one too. It was on really late at night when I was little. I would watch it once in awhile when Dad would come home from the firehouse late and i would wake up.

Another bleary eyed morning Threaps - argh- i hate my nose- i love my bed- i want my bed but it wdnt fit in my office argh i hate my boss make me work when i'm sick instead of just sending me money it wd be best if he payed me to stay home and not breathe on him and the other girl geessh it would be a service to the country if i keep my germs comfy cozy under my blakies instead of making them come out here and parade around the world for all to see and breathe in and spread their germiness far and wide think of all the people i could be saving from this horrible fate if i just had stayed home but no instead i am here percolating and making more people sick with my mere presence you know if add in a few jumpman idioms into this neverending sentence it would still be more legible than what ever the hell he writes i am going to stop now can i have coffee please?

I would blog if my life wasn't so freaking boring. And the parts that are not boring would get me kicked off the site for porn.

I'm boring too. Ghosty finally convinced me to write about the one thing I knew the most about - food. It was something I'd been thinking of doing for years so I just bit the bullet and went ahead with it. I'm a lazy writer and not sure if I have the time to devote to it. Plus I don't have the money to eat out as much as I used to, so who knows how much will get in there. He seems to think people are interested in just hearing about what I cook at home too but I say pfft to that lol. Then again, I guess if you write well enough anything can be worth reading about, so we'll see how it goes.

EDIT: Oh, the whole point of this is that one of my reviews on a well known food site got used in a famous restaurant locally. They had it linked on their website for ages, because it was written so well. I guess I can write well when I'm motivated and people do appreciate my views, so there ya go.

If Brenda doesn't post it again, I'll rustle it up when I log into my personal email later on. It was fantastic. The gravy was restaurant worthy. Truly.

I had two blogs at some point. One was on the art scene. I think I made two posts on that one. Other was a short story blog. I kept that one going for a while and it had/s a bunch of my stories on it. Along with some other stuff, if I recall correctly. I have no idea, now, what the address for either blog might be, nor what my user name/password might be if I did stumble across the blogs again.
