OMG! "“The name Sci Fi has been associated with geeks and dysfunctional, antisocial boys in their basements with video games and stuff like that, as opposed to the general public and the female audience in particular,” said TV historian Tim Brooks, who helped launch Sci Fi Channel when he worked at USA Network." I am not a boy and I do not have a basement! (i do watch a lot of the scifi channel and there have been those that have considered me dysfunctional- but the didnt live to tell...did i say that outloud...) And on that note.. its off to bed- Night Thread and Threadians...

512 is the largest resolution that should pretty much ever be used. 1024's are four times the size and they quickly cache out video cards. if its a hung picture of realistic size i would start with a 256 and see how that worked out. From: Love Hastings That's what I do. I think Lexxi wants to know what the best size to import is. 512x512? 1024x1024? Something else? What's the sweet spot? It's a tradeoff between resolution and load times, I suppose.

From: LittleMe Jewell Thank you Treasure. The dress is anywhere from formal to dressy. Folks will come in short/mid-length dresses and some will also come in long gowns -- whatever you are comfortable in. Damn! Pep (I was going to wear my mini-skirt . . . the one like Lexxi's)

Good morning everyone! Sheesh I should really keep up in the evenings, I miss too much around here. For the record...this mousie was perfectly safe. Lindal would *never* trap me in a tin, and offer me to Lexxi. (Um..right Lin... erm...Lin?) We're finally in the 50's up here! Maybe the snow will be gone by the weekend. Then we can greet Mud..um I mean Spring!

Good lord, the forums are turning to natural selection. Anything that fits in a tin gets selected. I think I'm safe. *admires llama largeness in nearby mirror*

From: Bith Wierwight /me waves her geek flag. For crying out loud... The thing is SciFi jumped the shark years ago for me. The programming pretty much stinks, with a few exceptions, but the Giant Lizard of the Week movies have got to go. It's basically become Lifetime except the abusive husband has been replaced by the Space Monster. I miss the days of SciFi Buzz. Reading the article and the quotes by that dweeb, I could see a Linden saying alot of that stuff. I wonder if any have read it....since SL seems to want the young and hip crowd, soon you may be logging onto....Sycond Lyfe (tm).

I miss Leo Laporte.
Even G4 has sold out (just going with G4).
I do like the lizard of the week except they ran out of lizards and just keep rehashing (re-hatching) the same ones. I grew up on Creature Feature Saturday- I recall with fondness such gems as Attack of the Mushroom People and This Island Earth- before MST3000 came along and made the subtle silliness passé.
ETA- Oh Ghosty I loved that show-

Even G4 has sold out (just going with G4). Oh man, G4 absorbing Tech TV was the worst thing to happen EVEH. Well, OK, I admit I was tuning in for Jessice Corbin as much as the geekiness. I was a fan of Chris Pirillo and John C. Dvorak long before they appeared there, tho.

SciFi channel has only two redeeming things for me right now. Battlestar Galactica, and Dr. Who. The rest I don't even pay attention to.

Isn't it G4 that shows Ninja Warrior? I'm just geeky enough to find that show loads of fun.
