You know, Brenda and other SLU'ers..

I wonder, if closing this thread and starting it again (like Cris did over at SLU with some long threads) is something LL is considering...

In all honesty, that assumes there is any thought to forum performance. :)

If they are, maybe they will start 5 discussion threads about it and ignore the input from us they ask for :p

It will live on through its children and their children, down through the ages. Down to when people are using the new "advanced technology" of hammering on stone and throwing "posts" at other people, and then down to another computer age, and so on. Living eternally.

And one day, even RL children will be enthralled by it's lore.

Once upon a time, there was a place called Second Life. A strange mythical place, ruled by mysterious people called Lindens. They held rule over millions of subjects, well thousands......uhm, hundreds....a bunch of people. And those people had something called a forum. What's a forum? Well, it's sort of....hmmmmm...do you know when you see your Dad in his room on his computer for hours at a time with the door shut......wait, bad example......you've seen mommy sitting in the kitchen talking to her computer, right.....ugh, forget that one. A forum is place the people went to. Now pipe down and let me finish the story.........................And that's the story of the neverending thread. What happened to everyone? Nobody knows. One day Second Life just disappeared. Never to be heard from again. Some say a Big Spaceship came and took everyone away. All that is left are a bunch of McDonald's wrappers, and old Coca Cola and Nike signs. It is one of the greatest unsolved mysteries.

Happy St. Patty's Day all!

I'm not much of a world traveller but I have been lucky enough to visit a few spots around the globe. One thing you seems always able to find is a good Irish Bar.

Brenda, thanks for the links to the Clancy Brothers. Good stuff.
That led me to stumble across across this;

"The Ballad of Ronnie Drew".
A tribute to the "King of Ireland", Ronnie Drew of the Dubliners.

I've only been to one SL wedding, and the groom promply died.

My dear Fuzzy isn't dead. Someday he'll show you. He'll show you all, when the workers arise and throw off the chains of the intelligentsia! Or something like that. Anyway, he and Trout huddle together here inside this volcano where we live, muttering to each other until all hours.

But until the Revolution, I guess I'm the only one bringing home a paycheck. Sigh. Yes, Ms. Kidd...coming!

/me scurries out of the Thread.

heh, yes, you said I was dressed for it. So yes, you did comment that I was wearing clothing appropriate for such an event. heh.
...
Though I think I did forget to actually say how fab the dress was, I did make note to be sure and get it when I went to the clothing fair.
