Did a string of posts get deleted just now?

Starting with Ghosty asking Spike how well he'd done last night?

is there any way to chat with people in sl while not on yourself? I cant download the program here at work but i get emails sometims and cant respond to them.. I send the email but it always comes back un-deliverable
Getting the emails back as undeliverable is odd cuz you should be able to do a reply and have it go back to the person that sent you the IM that came to your email.

You can also use a website called Zonkster to send IMs to folks. I think there is a SLIM product that you can use for chatting, but don't know if it is totally browser based or not. And I have heard that the security is questionable.

Wasn't there a post where Ghosty asked Spike if he'd had any success last night...

and then there were comments about not naming names...

and other posts, including my own, all along the same line?

All gone.

I started reading the forum shortly after the Chris/Brenda pantie escapade and it took me months to figure out what had transpired there.
:D

You know, reading that I realize I don't actually know what transpired either. It's a joke I "picked up" along the way, but I don't actually understand it. Hmmmm. I guess I'm not in the society.

Now we just need a financial backer... (looks around the thread).
I volunteer my services to be the financial banker. So which sounds better -- Ginko Cam or Cam Ginko?

oh, darn, you said backer, not banker - forget my offer then

One reason for it bouncing is that you have to limit your email reply to 140 (?) characters.

Just 40 percent of Americans say they believe in the theory of evolution, according to a Gallup poll published Wednesday.

wtf?

From: Lexxi Gynoid
Bear in mind that everyone from the tip of Cape Horn up to hmm, I think Greenland (Nunarput utoqqarsuanngoravit) is further north than the furtherest north part of Canada, is an "American".

Now if they just meant citizens (or even lesser constraint "people within the borders of the United States of America), then that might say something or other.

So, 40% of a huge number of people. Wow, wonder if anywhere in particular in the Americas adds to that low percentage? Ah well, can't know, eh. All they said was America in general.
.....
Based upon all the US American's that I know, I would not doubt in the least that the 40% really is 40% of the US folks only.

As Mo has said, they are Black Pudding, which I believe might be known as Blood Pudding over your way. You can guess what it's made of. I try not to think of it - I just enjoy it. Come to think of it Gabriele, Mac etc might appreciate it too.

Pep (I believe a Dublin Fry has White Pudding as well, but I have deliberately avoided finding out what is in that)
Another reason to not eat anything actually cooked/invented by a Brit.
:D

More and more I come to understand why various other cultures of cuisine are so popular in England.

It must be limited to 140 or so? I never knew that. I have always removed all text except my message and I've never been real wordy on IM responding type messages. Nice to know though, in case I ever think about being wordy in the future.

About a week and a half ago my CPU started running at 100 % even when not actively doing anything. I usually run SecondLife and Firefox concurrently and had not had any issues until one day this happened. And I don't know what to do to get it back. There are 36 processes running that include in order of greatest mem usage:
....
Amara - if you have not found a solution to this, check your Firefox addons/plugins and maybe disable or de-install a few that you don't consider critical -- but do it one at a time and see if it clears the problem. With the latest Firefox release, there were a few plugins that were causing not only excepssive cpu usage issues, but a few would even sometimes randomly lock your entire system for up to 60 seconds at a time.

Hm- thanks! Have not looked at that no. But it still happens even without FF running... would that still be the case?

Yeah, I have to agree - the AFTER look has that monster chest that always looks too macho and unreal to me.
