Here is about all the spanish I know:

Uno mas cerveza, por favor.
¿Donde estan las putas?

it gets worse after that ....

I even know what those sentences mean, and I purposely didn't learn spanish so I didn't have to pretend I cared what my inlaws have to say.

Eh, could be worse.

I know I'm late here, but... Yosef, a Wolf, could we not have guessed that?

:D

Good night Keepers of the Thread... I'm heading off once again to my cold, empty bed... and it could have be so different tonight, but alas, tonight there was only Ruth...

Reserved and overly critical?
Did you answer the opposite of your feelings?

No Sir. I absolutely did answer as I honestly felt at the time was the truth. And I do not mean to equivocate now, but am aware that some truths are perceptual. Overall though, I tend to agree with the description.

Looked in this morning and saw this poor thread was clearly flagging - almost at the bottom of the page! So I thought I should do something quickly to revive it.

Thinks....... ah, ask a question - good idea... umm, er...

Read any good books lately? What was the last book you read? What book are you reading now or plan to read next?

Me? Oh, I'm reading Brideshead Revisited (Evelyn Waugh).

I just read Deep Storm by Lincoln Child - his usual fare- entertaining fluff :) I like escapism else why would I be here? And am currently reading Witness of Gor - no, Mr. Norman's writing skills have not improved in all these years, still a good read for Gor fans.

Some Romantic Prose... For Today
05-14-2008 04:23
Together we sat enjoying the dusk,
she leaned into me as we snuggled closer.

For long minutes we lingered in silence.

Smelling the salt air, feeling the freshening
breeze. Love was upon the air.

She laid her head upon my shoulder and
nuzzled my neck. I felt her sigh and I
inquired. "Yes my love?"

"Thank you", was her reply. "Thank you for
a perfect day. Thank you for your attention.
Thank you for your love and concern."

But now with her thanks fresh upon my soul,
I sit alone with my memories.

I can only come here to remember, to wonder
where I went wrong. To vow not to do it again.

Imprinted upon me is her laughs, her cries and
her tears of joy.

Will I heal? Will I forget? Eventually the
memory will grow dim. But the wound is there
and while it may diminish it will always be.

Cx that's a lovely poem!

@Zena - no, i forgot to mention the food fight...thankyou for reminding me though, I'll get you for it later....once i make some more pie lol :p

@Diera - Books? ooo I go through about 5 books a week at the minute lol. I'm reading about 6 series' and am waiting for the authors to release the next installments lol.
My fave recent book has to be any of the ones in the Anita Blake series... The last book I read was called Where Demons Dare by Kim Harrison, and the book I plan on starting today is called the Awakened Mage by Karen Miller.

Love this series!! I like the Merry Gentry series as well. However, I am getting quite annoyed with Ms. Hamilton and her editors, I think her writing quality has been affected by the speed with which the books are churned out...

@CX: lovely poem for today...but..but...sad..

@Xerxes: that pic is so cute...lol...I was trying to zoom in on it to see what the little tyke is holding...:D
