My cat likes to have his back feet rubbed, all around the pads and between the toes. Not the front ones though...his original owners had him declawed and he doesn't really like having his front feet touched at all.

I'll never forget Max, but the new cats did help us get through the distress. Well they're six years old now. 'Never out' is definitely safer. One of my friends lost her kitty to a coyote right in her back yard and she was right there just a few feet away! Her house isn't even on a canyon or anything. Now that so much of the countryside as been blighted er developed there are many more wild critters eaking out a living in the city. Out in the forest where you are... We have a pretty big house for the cats to run around - from the pictures your house isn't small either. Of course none of us are going to live forever and getting eaten by a bigger animal is a natural fate for lots of animals. They do like exploring outside... yes, coyotes are my main concern here. i do now have a dog, but she's not available to run amok and chase coyotes, so i'm just hoping her scent is enough to keep them away. they come in before dark every day (mostly), and i am always checking on them when i'm home... they love to run home and greet me. so cute. my oldest cat is fat and slow. 13+ i think she is all done being outside unless i go with her. _____________________

i can touch the feet of all my cats. in fact, i can touch them anywhere. the only particular cat is Jimi, he gets all feisty when i touch his belly. but, that could be his age. he also won't let me hold him like a baby. i'm working on both of these as we speak.

He'll let me touch them, but you can tell he doesn't like it....not like, pissed off doesn't like it, but maybe they still ache even after all these years, doesn't like it. Now, on the back feet, he'll stretch out his little toes to ensure that you do a good job with the rubbing. ![]() _____________________

Doctor? Crippen? Jeckyll? Pep (Doctors have a 100% failure rate ultimately) So...I'm to believe that you've done this complete about face, and will now be able to stay awake? And you know perfectly well which doc I'm talking about. Dr. Gorgeous! Young, attractive and rich, and perfectly in tune to me....and most importantly, he stays awake!! I'll have to give this some serious thought. _____________________

I'm doing work on a barter basis for a friend who owns a company that makes custom aviaries, and they are branching into custom pet enclosures of all kinds. My plan is to have my whole front courtyard (fairly enclosed already) enclosed, with a roofline enclosed catwalk from the back of the house to the front courtyard. Won't that be cool!!! /me waves at threadies. Hope everyone's weekend was as nice as mine... ![]() A big wave to Mo across the pond! _____________________

The 1st cat I had we allowed outside on a leash. Naturally she'd get fleas. So after she died and we got the 2nd cat, we did the same with her.
Unfortunately, she was very easily spooked. One day the neighbor started his lawnmower while she was outside on the leash. She jumped up & landed in a container of Used Motor Oil. NEVER again will we let her outside!!! Took over a week to get it out of her fur!!! My fiancee's mother would let her tomcat run free outside when he wanted. HEH! He even had a feral cat for a GF! Eventually he drank from a puddle of water or something that contained anti-freeze. He died. So yea, dont let cats run outside if you want to keep 'em long. ![]() Don't forget folks! I own a cat yet I'm allergic. Got the asthma & skin rash breakouts to prove it ![]() The 2nd Cat: (all 18lbs of her!) ![]() My First Cat (who would rip anyone's face off but mine!): ![]() _____________________

In a desperate attempt to steer the thread away from cats, I heard my first Christmas Song out in public today. I stopped to gas up today, $2.41 btw, and went into the store for a hot dog and coke, and a few lottery tickets. Playing inside was Springsteen's "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". It's not even Halloween, jeez.

Awww really cute kitty pictures! Now I have an excuse to post mine lol
![]() Between me and mum we have 3 cats. Sorry the pics aren't fantastic, Jessie especially wont sit still for me to take hers lol. ![]() George is my baby, he's about 2 now. Right little poser and dead cheeky. King of the castle lol. ![]() Jessie is about 6 weeks older than George. She's a rescue cat. Mum saved her from a guy on the top floor of a high rise block of flats who must have had over 20 cats...never got any of them neutered or spayed so they just kept breeding. He was constantly high so barely noticed. We managed to save her and her sister. Ellie was gorgeous but she got run over by a car right outside our house. The only time I ever cried at work was when mum rang to tell me what had happened. ![]() ![]() Lastly is Rosie, but I call her Rolo hehe. She's from the same place we got George, and I think she's from the same dad lol. Colouring is almost exactly like Georges. She's about 8 months old. |

Beautiful kitties!!

Claire, these little ones of yours are just beautiful. What fun!
I grew up with 3 black and whites. Each with his/her own personality and quirks. Looking at your picks reminds me of how much I miss them, especially at Christmas when we used to tie tinsel to their tails and then make our own home movies. ![]() Awww really cute kitty pictures! lol, Id likely lose a finger or two if I tried to tie tinsel anywhere on any of them. George would probably milk the attention then do a houdini out of it. Its bad enough trying to change the collars....which are overdue for a change since they shred them almost instantly.
ok, bedtime for me. Night folks |
