I'm okay, and home safely, thanks everyone! I'm so grateful for the hugs. :o My insurance company is telling me that my 18 year old car isn't worth the amount it will cost to repair. Poor car. It doesn't deserve a junkyard death. :(

I wasn't. For the last couple days I've been really trying to figure out why I come here. I know I started posting here originally to give a kids' perspective during some of the worst threads way-back-when, an found I liked some of the personalities of the forum. I've tried to pitch in when I can an help people too.

but lately? well, I jes dun see the point. I like silliness, but it feels like it's all silliness. What am I missing here? Obviously everyone else is enjoyin' it.

speaking for myself... i hardly find a new thread asking for help that i either
#1 don't get there in time to answer with help before someone says what i was gonna say.
and/or
#2 it's fun to be silly when there's nothing serious going on.

I'm on the phone with my auto insurance company, having just rear-ended someone on the freeway because of the slick roads. My poor car is NOT happy. It's being towed. See you all Inworld...

Took me forever to get him to sit down and let me bring him- whatever- His first wife didn't exactly wait on him so he was amazed anyone would want to. Heck- he used to do his own laundry for Pete's sake- I was raised differently.

Miss you too 3Ring! And Rio, Claire, etc. (Maureen, of course but we talk all the time now so you know all the dirt going on lol).

Yes, I was going to go to the shopping trip but now I must shake my fist at Claire for changing it to the following weekend. Hope I can come then, it's my brother's birthday and he has the mad idea of getting this band "Almost Queen" to play there (he's friends with the lead singer and apparently the group is not your regular cover band, they are actually well respected). We'll see if that pans out or not.

I will be inworld Saturday evening however, as I have an event to attend. First time I'll be there for anything other than rezzing a box or trying to win a skin on a lucky chair in weeks. I do sneak in now and then, usually early in the morning before I leave for work to take care of IM's and stuff. But only stay for a few minutes at best.

Life has been quite interesting without SL. Some excellent and surprising turn of events. Lets us just say that the recent thread about finding a man in SL, has turned what was a casual "whatever" here (I could never quantify it to anyone)into a serious RL relationship for me (shades of Trout and Oryx) I'm sure many of you can guess who it is (many already know for sure) and if not, you'll just have to keep on wondering :p

/me faints. You have to try on new skins!! So much fun. It's like playing "make-up" -- which I love to play when I was a little girl -- only this way, the makeup is a whole lot easier to remove.
Its not that wierd, I don't try on new skins either, nor shapes or maybe it is that wierd, after all I am kinda wierd by admission :D

We have been reading your thread for many mnay times now. The Linden Lab says this forum is to be about making answers to questions, about the video cards and boxes on hands. We don't see any questions like that in this thread,a dn so we are closing it.
