Five Characters in Search of an Exit

Made me think of Jean Paul Satre's No Exit - just the title I mean- I haven't seen the episode.

I call dibs on Trey's heart! :D

If it were not for this thread I might have left SL all together.

Perish the thought, Yosef... :(

you'd be sorely missed.

Catching up on the post here. Felt inspired to share this. Works for breakfast or midnight, and lyrics are peotry aren't they.

Eggs And Sausage
(Tom Waits 1975) <snip>

Yes, lyrics count! This reminds me of the Hopper painting, but also the move "Come back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean". I love that movie...

Oh, I'd love it Amara... Thank you. Have you ever been to my house in SL? I have some wonderful original SL paintings, I bet you'd enjoy seeing. We should get together soon.

We have all, the time in the world
Time ENOUGH for life
To UNFOLD
All the prescious things
Love has in store

We have all the love in the world
If that's all we have
You will find
We need nothing more

Every step of the way
Will find us
With the cares of the world
Far behind us

We have all the time in the world
Just for love
Nothing more
Nothing less
Only love

Every step of the way
Will find us
With the cares of the world
Far behind us
Yes

We have all the time in the world
Just for love
Nothing more
Nothing less
Only love

I don't want to rain on the parade or anything, but this was sung by Satch'mo' over indubitably the worst James Bond cradling the best ever Bond Girl (Diana Rigg) just after she had been killed, his words "We have all the time in the world" being hostages to fortune.

Pep (I've stopped crying when it happens now, but I keep hoping the assassin will miss this time; oh, and I have been to Bedd Gelert, and that makes me sad and joyous too)

"Politics, Religion & Society" LOL, I'm guessing that's stirred things up a bit.
I never imagined you as a trouble maker. ;)

Yes people were posting song lyrics. My favorite Bond movie, best song. etc. I still hear it in my mind, picturing Bond holding the dead body of his new wife.

Didn't seem to be the worst Bond, but then I do have the original Casino Royale on DVD (the original movie, not the tv episode from the '50s or whenever it was aired in the states with Bond a CIA agent, and Felix Leiter as a MI6 agent).

But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

The posting of that "We have all the time in the world" song took me down memory lane.

Here is the first picture I have (I think) from the hangout.

Marty (I believe) and Oryx wrestling. I am in the background.

So long ago I wasn't Mistress' pet at the time (2 months before).

It's an interesting one. Simple, but good:

(It prob'ly doesn't surprise anyone that I like some of the ones I like, including this one)

*sigh*

ok, I think I'm just coming up to my first boredom hump in SL. :(

Any ideas on how to completely refresh my view?

I'd gotten used to being up all night and staying in bed late, so now that I'm back on a proper schedule again, it seems like I completely can't be bothered with SL anymore.
I know this is prolly a regular thing, but I've been so engrosed for so long, I've never dealt with it lol.

Maybe I just need a break?

Of course Mr. Waits voice does add to the overall effect.

Go to the welcome areas and pick up newbies. You can show them the ropes... and chains and duct tape. :p

So did I miss a memo? It seems like every thread the last couple days has been either some drama from somewhere or jes random stuff that doesn't really belong here. Are we like trying to challenge someting, or is there some other reason or what? Makes it hard to even find the questions, let alone try to answer then. :)

An ya, I know, ironic posting this question in this thread.
