Don't. It's my fault. I can't believe they even put that in as a choice for last names. It's like a trap. I should have looked it up, though. If there's no way to change it, I think I have to make an alt, transfer my stuff to it, and call it a loss for the other stuff. I can't let that stand as is.

If I put my no transfer stuff in a box, I can rez the box and use my alt to take a copy of it, right? That's how I can transfer the biplane, so it should work with other no transfer stuff. I need to have two accounts running at the same time and essentially meet myself in-world to do that. Can I do that? My computer would be screaming in agony, but I could probably get it to work.

I don't have much no transfer, no copy stuff that I'm really attached to, so I could just abandon that stuff.

Is getting an alt going to cost me anything? I think I saw where I could have up to five on basic accounts without paying extra. It's worth the payment to get rid of this name if that's what I have to do.

In all seriousness, I was pretty upset and your post made me feel better.

Trout, I love your name. It's original, easy to remember. The first name's short, quick to say or type. The imagery of a quick, sleek, flashing creature is appealing. The last name...despite possible unfortunate connotations...has a certain rolling grandeur about it. And I like the "re-creation" meaning that you and the Dutch attach to it.

Sometimes we hate things about ourselves that others find most endearing.
