We did not need to evaluate the voracity of the OP in order to answer her question. We all know bad neighbors exist in SL, just as we all know public forums attract trolls. Clearly we have fallen from the halcyon heights of SL circa 2003.

Pixelplumb - I'd much prefer to run into ban lines and go around than to be TP'd home when just flying through a plot of land and yours is so big that if someone stops to read the pop-up they will not have time to get off your land before the 10 seconds is up. Maybe extend the time to 30 seconds to give people time to get off your land because it is so big.

Thanks Musicteacher, that's a very good point and i will take it up with the other residents and most likely extend the time. I believe it has the default setting currently, but that's no excuse for evicting people rather too promptly! I will deal with this as soon as I am able.
Thanks again

Thank you, that answered all my questions completely. For my point of view, since he can't actually boat anywhere since it's a small private lake, you are in the right and your neighbors the one acting the fool.

To everyone else who jumped on me, wasn't it all so easy when things were explained by the OP? But thanks for your , well, let's call it 'input'.

Hello again Jellin, I'd just like to say thank you for being so gracious, and I do wish I'd made my original post a lot clearer now! On reflection, and reading through this thread again, whilst I am very appreciative of the support I've been given, I would have to say that you really raised some very good points. It seems to me that we are all essentially saying the same thing here, and that is that whilst we all have the right to freely enjoy our property and our privacy, we should strive as hard in SL to be good neighbours as I would trust we all do in RL. This afterall is how we make friends. Sometimes it won't work, and we have to accept it. I'm very glad however, that Fluff has maintained a friendship with our neighbour, and we will see if we can one day make more progress.

To everyone else, I know I promised to get an invitation out, and I have not yet done so. My husband was in charge of my avatar for gardening purposes yesterday evening, and we have 2 teenagers who also need computer time! But I will get it done, I promise.

Hope to see you all in world sometime
