The first represents the time interval and the second represents the number of samples to take.

That's not a sentence. It has no verb.

I'll chalk that little barb up to the fact that you are apparently studying statistics, which is enough to make anyone caustic.

By the way...if the grass strip between the lanes of a divided highway has been cut recently, does that mean the median has been mode? :D

Argent, the more of your posts I read, the better I like you. If I wasn't already very married, I'd marry you, sock nibbling and all.
Already taken.

Who in their right mind would go to Philadelphia in a BOAT?

Or, for that matter, at all?

Philly has waterways all around it. I have a very nice memory of playing backgammon in a bar overlooking the river, not far from the center of the city.

I just couldn't resist the Pep comment.

Actually that sentence was telling the definitions of the 2 parameters for the unix sar command.

I think I'm not the only person who should do this again when they get home. :D
If I were to do that, I'd probably wind up posting a manga scan that contained a myriad of CS violations. =^-^=

Are you in need of a mistress? (Not the kind in patent thigh boots, the other kind). You could come over and make me swoon with fancy conversation.

Grab the book nearest you. Right now. * Turn to page 56. * Find the fifth sentence. * Post that sentence. * Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST book.

"Sometimes the secret chamber of Gaspar the Dreamer was round as a circle or a globe, sometimes it seemed to stand four-square, at other times it appeared triangular; and it, as it were, was in a state of flux and nextly it had no shape for which the geometries of the AEgyptian had a name ... and, certainly: no Q.E.D."

It happened again just as they were passing one another: it was only a twitch, a quiver, rapid as the clicking of a camera shutter, but obviously habitual.

But...but.... page 56 in the book next to me is a full-page picture! Of a very handsome mutt, I might add!

I will give you page 57 instead:
"Trying to identify a mutt's main ingredients is no small part of the fun of having one or admiring one from afar."

Wisdom, indeed.

Page 57 is fine, or page 58, even if it's a new chapter.
