Black skin/clothes?

Help! For some reason, a load of my skin and clothes and stuff have all gone black. I don't know how to put an attachment here as I have managed to get a screen shot, but my face/head and legs are all black

I've uninstalled SL. I've re-installed it. I've gone back TWO sets of drivers (ATI X1300) and re-installed each time (including deleting everything in the Documents and Settings directory for SecondLife).

It's unplayable now for me

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the pointers - seems that it was because I now have two monitors on my system. SL seems to only like one screen plugged in, which is a bit of a pain

Hi RingaDinga,
I've had this issue before as well (one of those threads may have been mine). SL doesn't really 'mind' having two monitors connected, just be sure that the one you open it on is the one selected as 'primary' in Windows display settings (or those of your card manufacturer).
Once the black textures has happened once, I found the best way to fix it is quite simply to do all of the suggested fixes-one at a time didn't help. So:
-Close SL and reopen it on your primary monitor
-Take off/detach all 'blackened' items (you can create new skins and such to wear and leave their default look just for the purpose of the fix)
-Clear your cache
-In the client menu (Ctrl+C I think) choose to rebake all client textures
-Wear your items again (should be sorted)

That combination should sort you out-just be careful not to stat SL on your secondary again or you'll have to do it all again.
