A better birthday gift would be to offer to wash the clothes for the rest of your lives, whether it's with a washing machine or by hand  Hmm perhaps if a woman offers to do her own car repairs and dig her own scenic pond with a shovel. It's about sharing if both work, yes a lot of domestic stuff should be shared, but if I have to work for 9 hours a day to provide the finacial support for someone else that doesn't, I don't think it's fair all the domestic duties need to be shared. Should I work overtime this afternoon for 2 hours to earn another $100 or go home so I have time to do my half of the domestic duties? Sure I'll happily do the washing on Saturday morning, if you service the car. _____________________

If it's a problem to you, why don't you discuss this with your GF/Partner/love, in an open way? If you two are close, you can freely talk about it. Maybe she didn't quite catch the importance of your wish list, or couldn't find it? Maybe she wanted to surprise you with a gift from her heart? (like a real personal token) There can be many different reasons for it. Don't start with the "on purpose, bitching" reason. Let her explain, but stay open for her opinions. Don't go into accusing her, without knowing the real reason behind it. Besides, so many people, so many thoughts/opinions.. keep that also in mind. |

$500.00 or more Gift certificate at Gander mountain..  My BF just loves to walk in that store for hours..onr time he was gone all day shopping.. i was like..oh wow what Stores did you go to..he said Gander mountain...i was like you spent all day in...in one store? he was gone all day!!!! in one store!! _____________________

And I thought I had a shopping problem. lol well i have learned he has two favorite places..Gandar mountain is the superstore of all superstores for the great outdoorsmen sportsmen real mens store..this is his words not mine lol then there is Lowe's which is the superstore for *changes her voice to ruff rugged *The men that build and get in there and get their hands Dirtly mans man store!! men do you wanna know why we want want we want at christmas? it's because all year long you are stopping in one of these other stores and come home with all kinds of toys.. I need that tool because i could not fix your roof without the $600.00 dollar hammer gun thingy that will last me a life time.. or!!! the special scope that can put red dots on something i am shooting at so you can enjoy that deer you always like to eat..oh and i got you something while i was out too..look matching hunter camo hats that say i am with him.i am with her!!! _____________________

No, I never said that she shouldn't have to do that. All I'm basically saying is if we get her something she doesn't request we get scolded so its almost as if the thought of giving doesn't even count, whereas, she can give us anything she wants and we have to accept it no matter if we requested it or not. Women aren't put to the same standards as men and I think its justly unfair. Sure, women are hotter but it doesn't mean they own me. WHY did you get scolded? I'm pretty sure it wasn't just because the gift wasn't on her Christmas list. Did you buy her a vacuum cleaner? Or an autographed football? Well, oopsie. _____________________

When I first met my husband, someone hit the front of my car and it needed some simple repairs. I shocked him by helping with the entire process - and I was actually good at it. Maybe that is why he married me. He reacted better than I did. When I was about 19-20, I was trying to impress a girl at a party with talk about cars. Then my drag racing buddy walked up and asked her if she had finished popping the gears out for next Sundays competition. Apparently she decided to completely rebuild the transmission instead and it was taking her a bit longer. Kind of remember a Super Bee, bright yellow. I can't say my male ego handled that all that well. |
