Hello Trella! Sl seems to go in cycles - new "feature" installed, bugs high but get fixed over time. Just as we get used to playing without problems along comes a new "feature" again and we all start over.
So many cry "please keep it stable, forget the new stuff!", but few seem to listen.
Add to all this the things that break for any system and we all get very down about SL.
BUT
When it works - there's nothing like it!
So - keep trying SL and being in the forums and we will all try and inform and help and laugh too!
Linden - if you really DO read the forum - we only complain so much because we love SL when its working and sometimes (too many times) it seems like you really dont care.
PLEASE - we understand things break and that software has bugs - but lets just have to good old fashioned boring, dull, uneventful SL time before you pile more complications onto the system.
PS Linden - please dont exterminate me!!!!! lol

Ahhh and we are back to forums, i do understand now my dear premium users that this is prob the most expensive forum... cause im paying for the forum not the sl obviously  . Well wont let my spirit down

just stop releasing new *MAJOR* features. Who agrees that secondlife is for the most part, FINE. And if it aint broken don't fix it. But since you broke it...FIX IT FASTER! I still cant get on. Last night seemed Laggy BUT daily shut downs are getting ridiculous. Is it just a co-inky-dink considering intro of voice? Or just that with so many people on board we keel over??

IN the 3.5 years ive been in SL this ( as far as I can recall ) is the first time I have made a post about how piss poor SL is.
Its not just the consistant search TP log-ins crashes bugs - its the knock on effect that has LL depend on its residents ie; Their customers to pay their accounts, land fees, lindex fees for without their customers ie US! they cannot pay their wages and they have no business....period.
As a prominant business person in SL I can declare I am loosing around 1/3 of normal income because of the on going bugs and issues. LL from me alone get a considerable amount of dollars each month.
I earn a living- pay taxes - lawers fees - land fees to LL - lindex fees - over $1500 a month in wages to staff inside SL and do I or LLs other customers EVER get an official apology?
If this was any other business there would be a telephone customer service dept that would be taking calls in office hours answering questions, informing CUSTOMERS ie: US! lol whats going on and making apolgise and assurances things WILL be dealt with because they dont want to loose their customers ie: US! to competition.....oh wait.....There IS no competition! Ah yes... you see LL have nothing to fear really.. theres no other SL type world we can pack our virtual bags and move over to.
LL found me from somehow aquiring the database from There.com and sent all There.com acct holders email invitations for free accounts ( back in the day when it wasnt normal to be offered a free SL acct) There.com was SL's only 'real' competition.
They did well, even made a 'Therian' name for all the exchange students lol SL was stable and developed very well for 2 years after that.
Now however, they have closed doors to communication - closed the forums, only make announcments on the blog and they decide if they want ppl to reply. They do Town Hall Meetings when a large % of SL is asleep or at work because of where they live and even they are BS...nothing more than a PR meeting from what Ive heard.
Theres NO where to go no one to talk to no one whos there to give us answers they closed down live help
If this was an internet service provider they would be bust as we would all of moved to another one but as it stands LL are holding all the cards...THEY rule the Virtual World stakes ...and until SL has some competition they will continue to treat us thei customers like shit Patronising ignoring etc
The funny thing is... they take forever to send the checks out and cant give me an answer in live chat when my checks are due but are right on the ball when my land fees were due The canceled a check I had ordered took their land fee out and put the balance back in my acct!
They have THEIR priorities in order...that being make sure the $$$$ is coming in and I'm afraid it would take a massive loss in customers before they got their asses in gear.
Ever noticed how they ALWAYS refer to us as 'residents' and not customers?
Yeah... customer implies we pay them for a service and should expect certain things in return for our money...residents is much less 'business like'

Firstly there seems to be a corelation between increased online users and more SL bugs & failures over the last year. (Don't be fooled about the online user numbers, lots are just camping ALTS.....had to ban 6 off my land yesterday, they were all created same day by a single user, i'm positive there are quite a lot of these chinese farms existing in SL)
The grid won't get fixed until about 9am or 10am PDT earliest, LL techies are probably still asleep in SF and Texas.!!!
In good faith, LL should consider giving land & PI SIM owners a discount aganst there tiers for the down time in any given month. e.g if the the total downtime is 5% in a month, they should pass that on as a form of discount against that month's tier.
The unstable grid also impacts creators/vendors......causing loss of confidence from potential customers investing any futher money into a game that is so shaky at best!

GGRRRR Lilly, For what it's worth, I sympathize. When I can get in-world (which, admittedly, isn't often lately, by no doing of my own), I find myself at your store. Regardless of slow rezz, or TP issues, it's like avatar crack. If I can't get my fix, I'm deeply frustrated. I agree with your "Resident vs Customer" argument. It's really become almost impossible to jump through the "new and improved" hoops to get even the smallest thing accomplished that requires any action on LL's part (inaction might be a better word to use, 90% of the time). The true bitch of it all is they're holding all the cards (now thinking of the full set of cards textures that I can't use since I can't log in.. arrgghhh I NEED MY FIX!!)
