LOL I know this reference. You made me look. Yes, they are still around and no, nothing shows on this yet. If it were backed by a religious group they may have taken it on.

Jerry Falwell would have been the anti-SL crusader if ever there was one. :D

True, pick any religious crusade/bias and they got the pamphlets for it

Where I used to work a guy was always leaving them around in the bathrooms, break room, etc etc.

I don't know if they were intended to be funny.. but they were.

I'd heard of the infamous 'Dark Dungeons', but I'd never seen it. Wow, that was better than I'd ever imagined. "trapped in a dungeon of bondage", eh? So they *have* seen SL!

And the last panel, with the preacher silhouetted against a bonfire of burning D&D books... *shiver* doesn't make me think of caring Christians: more 'Wicker Man' or this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:1933-may-10-berlin-book-burning.JPG
(I claim my Godwin, is this the first for this thread?)

there is a site that gives it the MST3K treatment.

One of the things they poke fun at is that the evil guys get ugly when angry but not the angelic christen saviors...

Besides if the game let you use real magic... could you imagine rush hour traffic becoming a fireball festival with the size of the gaming conventions :-P

OMG. That is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. I suppose SL is really just a recruiting ground for the Church of Satan.

/clap A classic!!

The one that still slays me is the episode, "The Survivors", in which Jean Luc and Worf are sitting in a house, with the two alleged survivors, and Worf says, "Good tea. Nice house."

OMG - Worf... /me bares neck to his bite- nope- not a vamp- but he woudl bite- I know he would... ok- get out of my fantasy- dammit!

Tonight they played the episode when we find out he likes prune juice- a Warrior's Drink :D

Is that the same one where Data and Guinan are talking, and Data asks her a question? Guinan says "Don't look at me" and Data turns away. Classic sight gag.

No, no...the real classic is where the crew gets thrown into a Robin Hood fantasy by a playful alien...

Worf: "I am NOT a Merry Man!"

First season, I think.

Of course. That was probably one of the best TNG's, at least in my book.

"Let's make sure that history never forgets... the name... Enterprise"

Gives me gosebumps every time.

Yes!! That's why the OP with the avatar named Worf Merryman wins my vote. :)

/clap Another great one. But I think the one that made me really fall in love with him was a scene of him in a spa-type mud bath with, I think, Troy and her mother. He says something like, "Is this all we do, just lie here?"

The whole Discommendation arc was great. It showed what a loyal, honorable and dignified character Worf was. i was happy to see him move to DS9.

Speaking of which, there is a great inside joke in one of the episodes during the War with the Founders. One of the Starfleet Admirals is reading a status report and is naming casualties. "Orr, McWatt, Nately......"

These are of course characters from what famous novel?
