Sure, it took a little while for everything to settle, and I expect there to be a "settle in period", but now... holy hell that's fast. I have no idea what LL did, but I've never seen things rez in so quickly, move so quickly etc. Sure, info and TP is still a little flakey, but WOW.
Now is this increase in speed and rezzing time because some in world features aren't caught up yet or am I just a strange minority?

I'm wondering... I installed the upgrade via the Login process. When I couldn't connect after the upgrade, I figured something foobarred with the install (I'm in software myself, so I know PCs can mangle an install). So I thought, "fair enough... uninstall... download client from website... install anew".
With the web download version I'm having fabulous results. Better than ever. So maybe something went sideways with the login upgrade? Is that possible? _____________________

All my SL Exchange items are listed as "de-activated", which means SLEX can't find the Magic box which was on my parcel last night.

Logged in shortly after the restart and had no problems whatsoever. In fact my frame rates are up, no packet loss and my inventory loaded in about 15 seconds for 8000+ items, as opposed to 20 min. I do miss my ratings though.
I guess i must be special, hehehe |

They also changed the place they are doing billing to UK. So now I am get foriegn transaction actions fees and I got additional charge that I am not sure or not if I really made. It took close to two weeks to be billed through my bank credit card. Group that I created says I don't have permission to post in it, even though it let me few times.
My Friends even one's I gave my mod rights too I have to re-add as friend or don't show up at all. Luckly I was able to login after 2nd try. I think though I go away few days and hope I can come back. |

Again, I'm guessing that might be because not all systems are online to slow it down yet Is only 27k on right now normally this time of day more like 35k, and a fair number of the 27k are logging on and off a lot. so that might help your performance. |

I can't wait to check when I get home, but I doubt it runs faster post update. It never does. All that happens is more bugs, more issues. I think they need to concentrate on what is really wrong with SL. They should fix the asset server issues, Linden balance not showing up quite often, search issues, and definitely the classified issues that always have been coming up the last couple of months.

Well, I was just examining things after that nightmare of an update. They closed the blog comments so I couldn't tell them that something was wrong with logins right away. I seem to have a mysterious friend named "hippo" on my friends list. My list has been severely shortened, and no one shows up online unless I try IM'ing them. All of my interface text looks really weird. It's almost as though it is bolder or has a thick shadow to it...odd...
When I open an IM with a friend that is supposedly offline, it says they are offline before I can send a message through. New feature? |
