I actually went the other way and became a small otter/siamese kitty/osprey (not at the same time; oh, and I still have human shapes, but lately I've been playing with the other avies  ). I suppose someone could accuse me of being an overly hairy child avie for the first two.OMG I want an otter avie!!! Where did you get it? |

This is interesting to me, because I learned in art (long ago) that the average person is 8 heads tall. But in fashion drawing, the figures are ten heads tall. That is, normally the head = 1/8th of the body. In fashion drawing, it equals 1/10th of the body. What gets me are these huge muscular men with teeny-tiny heads. They shouldnt even investigate ARs based on height. Odds are she wasn't AR'd for having a short avatar. They probably reported "a sexualized child avatar".  |

I'll have to look when I'm in world (if I can get in world :)), but I do recall that I was in a Tiny outdoor shopping mall complex (large mushrooms, treehouses, etc), and I remember ExtroVirtual being the vender next to the place I bought the otter. My av started out at what ended up being 4' 11" tall. I got a few rude comments, but fortunately no threats of reporting. From day one, my profile has mentioned that my AV was 18 or older and my real life self is well over the legal age of majority in any province. Of course, 99% of the people do not read your profile, let alone click on the 1st Life tab.
(Off subject, but here's a little tip I found was cool. In my 1st Life tab, I mention that I am not here to get involved in any way with anyone I meet in SL in real life. I am only here for the diversion from life. In my SL tab, I put a sentence that says "be sure to read my 1st Life tab, too". In the 1st Life tab, I put a sentence like "mention the word xxxxx and you'll get more response from me". I've had one person do that so far, and things have gone really well between us.) I did subsequently find that a lot of things just don't work for shorter AVs - clothes, poseballs, etc., so I went off and redid my appearance to retain the same proportions (at least in my eyes, my av has always looked 18 or older) and found that I was now 5' 5" tall. I had an idea, though, the next time someone said something about it, which was only the next day. My av is a light-skinned, redhead with freckles on her face (I just adore freckles). When another av mentioned my youthfulness (again, nothing too derogatory, just a little accusatory), I decided to try an experiment. I asked if the other AV had a moment while I "Fixed" my appearance, because I valued that other AV's opinion, the other AV said sure. I went into appearance mode, did a "Save As", went to the appropriate place and removed the freckles from my face. I waited a few minutes for effect, then exited appearance mode and asked "how's that look?". The other AV adjusted position for a bit (I wish folks would learn the camera controls) waited for a few seconds and said "Much better, now you look years older." I thanked the other AV for their concern and, after they left, I put my freckles back on. I, for one, am remaining a freckle-faced, 5' 6" tall, 21 year old redhead in SL. |

Give us a formula that will determine accurately (Lets agree on the same degree of accuracy for fingerprinting, 98%) the Age of ANY person based Solely upon their Hight, and i will allow that The OP is ARable. It seems SL has been infiltrated by those intolerant "do-gooders" who watch TV, listen to the radio, and surf the interenet looking for something to report to the authorities. I have no interest in age-play and find pedophilia utterly reprehensible. But standing up for a person's right to have a short av is another matter. And these morons who AR whenever they see a short av do nothing to help SL, and need to get a RL before they come here. |

yeah pretty soon i guess it will be the "freaks" against the "enlightened masses". my avie has always been 6'1, due to the fact that i wear glasses. and sit only so close to the screen. and having Morals is not a bad thing. no im not a knee jerk, omg, AR AR AR everyone who doesnt conform to my POV, but im not a willie nillie do what ever i want cause i can type either. before you decide, who is on moral overload, or "needs to get a life" make sure you know the person first. _____________________

If a person ARs me for being too short I don't need to know them to know what kind of person they are. Imposing ones own morals on others can be a very bad thing as history, and current events, have shown us. _____________________
