/me wonders how long she can follow this particular derailment of the thread before hunger and the power of suggestion force her to don her sports bra and white t-shirt to make lunch. :)

I'm not talking about stains -- I didn't dive chest-first into anyone's lawn. I'm talking about the wet t-shirt effect. After running for a while, one tends to perspire.

I usually eat in the office with my co-workers. We all bring our lunches and gab. Today I will make a lovely plate of roast turkey, green beans, hummus with spinach and artichoke, black beans, and slices of mozzarella.

ah, the wet t-shirt effect....I bet we could all tell some stories about that. The other day....oh, I'll save that story for tomorrow....but that lunch of yours sounds awesome! I've been picking up the 5 for 5 deal at Arby's....not healthy, but I usually eat all vegetables for dinner to make up for it....grow my own vegetables....the squash bores did a nasty number on the squash plants this summer...but on a gardening web site, they gave a great tutorial on how to pick the bores out of the stems, then cover up the stems to the first couple of leaves with more dirt...added some really good compost and don't you know those things came back to life....got a really good stuffed squash recipe, if you're up for that.....

OK, Mickey, it was a funny parody the first time you did it.

Well, maybe the second time too.

*consults her conscience*

Oh, hell, it's still funny! Let's all send Mickey $L100!

I'm not Mickey, but had to laugh at this. Gee, I've never been in Harrod's. :p And it's not rocked my world one bit. :p When's the last time you've been to San Diego?

You've not missed anything. Harrod's is overpriced and tacky-looking (IMO, of course - they may have re-decorated since 2002, but I'm not bothering to find out.)

Probably dozens of better places to buy top quality food stuffs in San Diego.

(Keep it up guys - you're doing really well!)

I think it must have been in 2002. Not that keen on Harrod's - prefer Fortnum's...actually, prefer Piccadilly to Knightsbridge all round.

All this snooty English babble is making me hot.

Maybe each poster should pay the one above them $100.

Oh, starting now.

Seems kind of odd that many of the same people who now are going up against the op are the same ones who prior to now couldn't wait to get into her threads to either agree or to chip in with the same thing the op writes.

Same ones who a few times before also took arms against the op only to kiss her butt once things settled down. So, when is puckering-up time set to start anew?

But don't take my word for it, just wait and see how they'll salivate later on agreeing with everything the op says. Participating in all her usual threads like long lost cousins.

Bunch of hypocrites!!
Nothing wrong with that behaviour - people should respond to the post not the person making it, so it's reasonable for some posts to generate vitriol where previously the same poster provoked amusement. ;)

Pep (has been consistent in his treatment of Jig's posts. )

You and Pep are quite militant about what are acceptable reactions to forum posts.
Get it right , please!

Pep (Any reaction is reasonable; if it is presented inadequately then it dilutes its impact. :p )

I thought it was a great disappointment when I went there - the only animal there was one small dog!

Pep (Yes, it was a Shih Tzu. :D )

And Pep, newly fortified with what I am sure was a wholesome and nutritious supper, arrives on the forum like Boudicca at the gates of Londinium . . . cutting a swathe across threads, heedless of the shrieks and agonized cries of friend or foe.

Yes, we should be afraid.

Won't have time for it today....because I'm going to walk to the kitchen...this is a long hallway....currently refinishing the hardwoods...sanded and ready for stain...it will be honey oak...the walls are a sage green, but think I'll change those to something lighter....open it up a bit...dove white for the baseboards...need to get the crown molding back up too...but I'll fill you in those details next week....kitchen is in daffodil yellow...really perky, for we creative types, you know...roof is leaking a tad at the fireplace, flashing needs to be fixed, and it's making the plaster in the kitchen peel, but I'll fill you in on that next week...making some coffee...it's a Mr. Coffee maker, of course...in white....turning on the water...got a great deal on the kitchen sink/counter and cabinets at a resale shop....big score...do you have those over there in your neck of the woods?....it's an antique white, kind of vintage, hip now, you know...water comes from the City...good water system, we have...love the faucet...came with the whole cabinet set up...Price Pfister...great triple sink....man, that set up was a score...did I mention that.....need to wash dishes today, though...oh, but I digress....the water goes into the coffee maker...hazelnut cream today...about 6 cups....will follow that with a couple of Mt. Dew chasers, maybe an Aunt Jemima Griddle Cake...got the microwave at the resale shop too....you really should look into that...the cats are getting Fancy Feast this morning....roasted chicken feast....need to feed the birds and squirrels, so they have something to look at....that would be corn and sunflower seeds and peanuts....when I get some time later today, busy, busy, busy you know....I'll take some pics of the squirrels for you...pouring the first cup of coffee....using a cute little mug, yellow and blue stripes, some red tulips....mmmmm, tasty...walking back down the hallway...really should get that floor finished, but busy, busy, busy.....wonder what Raymond is up to today.......

Wow, Micks, you really DO have time to waste. Its all a little too Proustian for me.

You're not really paying him for every post, are you?

It's ok, I think I get you now. I will refrain from giving you such a hard time in the future. I'll just avoid your threads when they get on my nerves.

I do like you better as a thread poster, rather than starter. I think if you were able to keep the new threads to a minimum it would be good for all those involved and save you a lot of money in the long run. When a new question or topic hits you, just insert it into an existing thread. It's less of an abuse of this forum that way, which is my main issue with your activity here.

I think they are all being played. I don't believe she is paying anyone at all.

Jig's a grown-up - she can sort out her own relationships - but _threads_ need nurturing. Thanks for doing your bit, Ricardo. :)

I'm not defending her or her -way too many irrelevant threads. They don't like her threads and I can certainly understand why, then skip over them. It's not that hard a thing to do.

Works for me.
