From: Conan Godwin OH MY GOD!!! The METHUSELAHS are coming!!
Okay, so people who don't play "Vampire: The Masquerade won't get that". Still, I rarely see people older than even me, and I'm only just approaching my first birthday. Have the oldies dropped out or are they slumbering in some underground cavern somewhere, awaiting the end of the world to emerge and consume us? Well, there aren't may of us older people to begin with. When I signed up in 04, the there less then 3000 total users! So between the smaller number to start with and the time decay factor, there are just not many to be seen!

From: SqueezeOne Pow I've seen some old school cats in SL before...and I'm starting to be in that category myself.
Hi noob! If any of you are interested, there's a second life history museum run by Oz Spade. And there are some really interesting free maps available at Yadni's junkyard that display how the grid expanded from the first handful of sims to a continent. The older areas are all around Ahern, places like Kissling, Darkwood, Boardman, De Haro, Lusk, Perry, The vehicle sims (Brilliant, Fame, Fortuna etc) Many of the builds in those areas have been around for over a year at least. I'm 4 years old. I think that makes me an antique in virtual worlds.

Somewhere (probably on here) I read that Da Boom was the oldest sim in SL. So I went there and looked round. I bumped into someone there and asked if it was the oldest sim and they said yes, they thought it was.

Archeologists in Sl. It seems that there is always something that grabs my attention of how Fascinating SL really is. The next thing you know there will be bird watching. Someone will go around SL photographing and cataloging all of the different birds that have been created. Perhaps putting them into a book for other bird watchers. hmmmmm.

I feel young here. If I feel old it's more because of how much the world has grown up around me.
In another online world... I'm almost 18 years old. Gack!

I took a quick look around the old sims on the map Pie posted. Most of the points of interest are gone, except for the bazaar, the statue of The Man and a piece of the old Jessie wall. BTW, I am the 2nd oldest resident to post here. Robyn York is 11 days older.

Speaking of antiques and old avatars and places. Does anyone have any suggestions in how I reactivate Dagon Grimm my first avatar? I know the email account and still own it. He joined around March 2002. I tried to send email to support but haven't had much success because I forgot where he lived and his password.

I've seen a few open beta accounts reopened, but they lost all their inventory. Also, these accounts went dormant after SL went live. I don't know of any pre-2003 accounts that have been resurrected. I think you would have to give LL a call.

Yeah I know I would lose all the inventory and land he owned from the only the one and only conversation about Dagon Grimm they said I would have lost all my land, inventory. He is isn't even in search database but they have some information about him from there own database. Thanks for information. Maybe next month I call them and ask. I know it cost 25 usd to reactivate. He was my first, he probably will be the less experienced and dummiest skill wise old avatar in entire SL grids if I am able to reactivate him. LOL

Coming up on my third SL anaversary this summer. Given the relative ages of most I run into in world, I am starting to feel like an oldbie.

He is a still a frequent, and highly respected, and most generous contributor in the Textures Forum herein Thanks for the kind words, Jacer I still live on land in Freelon that I bought my first week in SL, and most of the few landholders there have been here as long or longer than me. There are still people around who've got at least a year on me. It's great that so many of those early residents have stuck around.

I recently met an Av with a birth date of 2017. Either the profile was borked or future SL residents have discovered time travel.

My house in Mimas is built on the cliff face above the site of David Valentino's nightclub which I am told was the first nightclub in SL. But that is what I have been told - I dont know this for gospel truth so dont jump on me (as often happens).

I own about 1/4 of Da Boom, the first SL sim. Love the historic value. I won't sell any of it for under 100L/sqm!

I wanna know who was first artist in SL? I am collector or SL art and always wondered about this. Also who was first Neko? Or Werewolf? can't we start a heritage site with houses that are beautiful or noteworthy and a sort of history of us? I mean with all the new stuff happening pretty soon history wil only be written by the people who "won the war" of freedoms and such in SL.
