I am in Seattle, and Portland is'nt that far IMHO, this thread is like years old is'nt it? Perhaps there should be a new PNW thread to see who is all still interested.

My world revolves around me, you see... and I'm in Washington, so therefore... nothing else matters but that... the other parts of the world have yet to rezz for me. Thank you... now I'm thinkin' it's me who needs to go back to school... get some well needed erasers thrown at me. Meggy

When and Where?
04-19-2007 21:05
How long has the planning for this event been going on? It'd be fun but only if someone stays out of SL long enough to plan it and then attend. RL stuff, I know...

PDX Portland meetup THIS SUNDAY, 7pm
04-20-2007 09:02
Hello all, I'd already posted this as a new thread but realized that people watching this thread may not have seen it: There will be a very special MIXED REALITY SL/RL event starring Jaycatt Nico and Frogg Marlowe THIS SUNDAY, 7pm, at Beaulahland, 118 NE 28th Avenue, in Portland Oregon. This extraordinary RL meetup / concert / podcasting event is being hosted in RL by RoseDrop Rust and the Rosedrop Media Circus; the simultaneous SL event will take place at Pannie's in Podul (244, 71, 106). Full details are available at http://secondlifepdx.blogspot.com , which is a new blog dedicated to independently bring RL Portland (it's unique neighborhoods, small businesses, and people) to the outside world via SL. There are many Pacific Northwest SL residents headed for Beaulahland this Sunday, ALL ARE WELCOME, be there!!!! Regards, Ty Magpie, Founder NW 21st Avenue Project

Still Meeting up???
04-20-2007 10:39
I just got to this thread. . .If anyone is interested, how about a big meet up in Pikes Market? I'm on Braindamage Island, just W of Seattle, got a 7 month old, so it's a little hard to get much farther, and people in bars keep telling me he doesn't meet the hight requirement. Ta!

That would be fun! I work near Pike's Place Market, so the location is perfect... and a fun one. I'd try to make it!

This would be fun, but being from the eastside of Washington, 4 hours is to long of a drive.

Yeah Washington!

I accidentally hit on this thread, was fun reading it from beginning to end, seeing how many people from SL are actually in WA. I'm in WA, Marysville to be exact. Just made a trip over to Whidbey Island (Oak Harbor) to meet another SL'r. Was fun. If anyone does plan something for Seattle area (I'm not adverse to Spokane trips either - that's my home town), would be fun to make it, if health permits. I'll keep watching this thread.... if I can remember. <g> RL hubby is also in SL, and enjoys meeting people too.

Whidbey Island
04-26-2007 19:27
I know I'll be in Whidbey again some time... hubby flies kites, and Fort Casey is one of the best places for that.... not to mention, we like to camp there at Fort Casey. It's a nice drive for us, we enjoy going over there.... I'll holler next time we go. Totally amazed at the number of people so close! A meet in Oak Harbor would be fun. I think it's the largest town on the island. Coupeville is really neat though! Love it there.... ok, start the planning - I suspect you have more energy than I do. <g>

I lived in St. Helens, OREGON, the city, not the mountain.

hello I use to live in Bellingham years ago. I orginally was Dagon Grimm when SL was in beta in 2002 after TSO went public but I wasn't really able to do much back then. I waited for long time before rejoining and lost my sign in information and became who I am today. I have now been playing consistantly over six months.

Eugene
05-17-2007 23:53
I'm in Eugene, but would go as far as Seattle for a meetup. It also might be nice to have more lspecifically local meetups.
One for Eugene/Springfield, one for PDX, one for Seattle, and then a big PNW meetup.
Any other Eugene/Springfield folks out there interested in a local meetup?

I am 3+ Years. Year and a half now. So it seems to me like quite a few people are willing to meet up, and a lot of them are willing to go to PDX... So why not set something up? What days are people available?? Unfortunately I work on the weekends, but during the week I can meet anytime!
