From: Beatfox Xevious I was in preview, and I saw someone standing in Cordova with a globe rotating around their head. After seeing it follow their head motions perfectly, I came to realize that the globe was, in fact, an attachment. Apparently, the Lindens never bothered to mention that 1.7 lets us use llSetPos(), llSetRot(), and llTargetOmega() to make attachments move. Holy. Cow. THANK YOU, Lindens!! You have no idea how long us avatar enthusiasts have been desiring this -- if you did, you would have told us about your new "secret feature", right? This will surely be a HUGE BOON to av creativity. I decided to try a bit of tail enhancement on my av: I sense another furry av revolution approaching. Wonder if i'll finaly be able to animate my macro ava useing this feature ? Woulfe Wolfe * You've possibly seen my ava 'round on SL *

From: Jesrad Seraph Flapping, jointed wings and assorted additional, animated limbs (centaurs), nifty electronic worn gadgets that open/close, handguns that deploy (minigun with multiple, actually rotating barrels ?), retractable claws, hair and cloth flowing in the wind, animated pets on your shoulder, whole non-human, animated bodies (hail invisiprims), prim eyes that look in the right direction (should be already possible though), etc... I'm sure I'm missing a lot. Some tourist came by my house tonite, wanted to look around, and when he walked past me to look at a painting I put on a wall this afternoon, I noticed his dong was hanging out/up... he claimed it was scripted for automatic commands...

From: Torley Torgeson O... is it just me or do GIF animations play sped-up and faster in Firefox than IE? Beatbox is absolutely smooth here! Pardon me for seeming blasphemous... but I still don't like Firefox. Makes most of my usual romps display strangely, and the tabs annoy me. Blahblah they can be disabled. But blah blah i already streamlined IE.

I think your the person from the other thread... But this isnt from 'moving attatcments' this is from alpha-texture scripting. This is used for umbreallas, bubblegum, anything that needs to apear animated. The different 'states' are textutred and scripted, and when the script tells them to, it makes one set of prims alpha, and textures the next state. You can see many instances of this if you walk around with transparency highlighted (ctrl+alt+T to toggle on and off.)
