I was in preview, and I saw someone standing in Cordova with a globe rotating around their head. After seeing it follow their head motions perfectly, I came to realize that the globe was, in fact, an attachment. Apparently, the Lindens never bothered to mention that 1.7 lets us use llSetPos(), llSetRot(), and llTargetOmega() to make attachments move. Holy. Cow. THANK YOU, Lindens!! You have no idea how long us avatar enthusiasts have been desiring this -- if you did, you would have told us about your new "secret feature", right? This will surely be a HUGE BOON to av creativity. I decided to try a bit of tail enhancement on my av: I sense another furry av revolution approaching.

Time for some pistons that actually work, hatches that really open, transformable mecha that don't rely on custom animations, and a whole lot more.

Amazing what a little change like that can do for self-expression. Avatars about to get a lot more dynamic...

This is arriving at the perfect moment I've been making a multiple-joint animation set of scripts over the last week. I figured it'd be useful for making animals, but, as Torley puts it, HOLY FREAKING COW it's gonna be sooooo cool in body extensions !

Oh my. I can only imagine the new meaning that will be given to the old 'bump and grind'. Amazing animation and excellent example/showcase. Nice to see some serious progress.

Between the HUD attachments and wild new possibilities that are opened with the ability to move attachments around, I'm... overwhelmed by potential new directions. We didn't get Havok 2 or in-engine browsing, but I think that these sneaky new features may prove even more revolutionary than either of those ever could.
So thrilling!

Actually, I recall once seeing a furry av with some textured spheres stuck on the chest to simulate *really large* breasts, in a corset. I'm not entirely sure if I want to KNOW if they'll try adding jiggle physics to that av in 1.7.

Those who don't know what we're talking about OBVIOUSLY haven't seen the wiki page dedicated to this. LSL Wiki: Boobies And I'd just like to point out that I had no part in the creation of that page. But seriously, this is awesome. I can see Enabran making some pretty neat stuff...
