We SL players correctly apprehend the object of distress: no income for events organizers such as myself and less income for social players. The impact analysis many have made, in fact the main, have indicated that this is much better for far fewer players (another way to stratify wealth). Therefore the givens of the analogy, in my view, don't align (though many of us who don't attend town halls were perhaps informed on a level comparable to chicken little). ;-D (acknowldges the advantage she had as an instructor of children's literature among other classes.)

I assure you, if it was my intention to make friends with that crowd, I'd have behaved differently. No, I'm just done with a certain group of preen-a-donnas inworld and in the forums who can behave badly and get a pass, while others of some kind of "lesser reputation" are mobbed either for stating the uncomfortable truth or for getting just a -little- pissy. You want to call me on a mistake I made, make sure it's a mistake. I'll apologize and try to fix it. You want to ring my bell for no reason other than your general nastiness, you know what you can do with yourself.

I think what you have going on is a classic case of subtle sarcasm being mistaken for hostility. I found your original post amusing, though I see how it could be taken wrong. From that point on, it seems to have gone downhill since Darko got offended, you responded with more pointed sarcasm, Paris jumped in to stand by her man, and so on and so forth. I would ask all of you not to have a fist fight in my sarcastic happy birthday thread I happen to like your posts, Dallas, wry humor and all, and yes Darko can be a bit of a hothead (if only because it rhymes with pothead), and Paris comes out swinging in all her glory. You are all great people, and I would hate to see you continue to go at each other over something as silly as this thread.

I love you man, but my god, you are taking this really far over the line, and it is so not necessary. Just because you failed to see his original humor, which was subtle but hardly insulting does not justify going off on him like that. I would say the same to someone going off on you. It's hard to stand up for you with a post like this one

And one thing to note.. Dallas *DID* put a at the end of his first post. To me that meant what he wrote was not to be taken too seriously. At least that was how I saw it.
