Why are people always whining in these forums?

Some people on the forums disagree with someone else. It's a pack! It's a cabal! It's a mob! It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

Can I just say that I'm getting incredibly tired of that weak rhetorical device. It's nothing but a way to discount people's opinions as being some kind of robotic drone groupthink behavior. It's a lame argument. Not everyone agrees with each other. Kindly get over it.

Then why did you send me that chain letter that said I needed to post just like you and Aimee or my cat would die?

Oh and I agree with you, the whole groupthink, mob, cabal, cartel nonsense is a lame excuse for people whose arguments can't stand up to any criticism.

I say, people should be less tired of me ignoring the personal attacks until I finally get sick and tired of them and tell people to back the hell off, and should be more tired of the incredibly frequent and completely gratuitious personal attacks tossed into every thread.

What do you want me to do, just push that report button until the person shuts up for fear of getting warnings? Or worse, doesn't shut up, and might get warned a couple of times, and not only lose posting privileges but get banned from the game itself?

I don't WANT anyone banned from the forums or the game. I want people to just stop with the gratuitious attacks on my person.

Why destroy the SL economy and bankrupt ourselves by stopping?

I was asked not to post this, as it would be counterproductive in terms of what avalon. have developed over the last 18 months. But, I really think this has to be said.

Whenever there is change, the SL community do a 'chicken little' and totally overreact and decry the changes!

My question is.. why is it always the same people who are given the 'forum' to express their point of view. These same people, we know from history, have personally benefited from the 'expansion' of SL over the last 2 years?

Of the 33,000 people in SL, why are the same 50 people still making such a fuss?

I am really inerested to see what happens when the 'content' providers really take an interest and start developing content for SL? Again, something I know is currently happening, and has nothing to do with the hysterical 'coke/pepsi' is coming crowd!

While you are all arguing in the forums about the future, I know of three projects that have already happened to 'explore' the potential of SL:

1) A corporate sponsored live audio event, that tested the load of 100+ people in SL (all enjoying and having a blast)

2) Expanding and allowing desingers the opportunity to dip into IP (over 30 yrs of items, over 1,000,000 items)

among a few...

Nothing that has been 'dynamic' has historically destroyed SL... The only thing that destroy is by standing still!

Also, and if I may paraphrase Philip Lindens own vision:

The capitalist system is built from bottom up, he has given us the 'right to self manage' by allowing land ownership to the governed by the market... not by LL...

OK, my mistake. Whining is the third largest and most profitable enterprise in SL, and drama is the second. The first is vapor entrepreneurialism and free market sloganeering.

I'm thinking Cream Corn ranks up there too.
