Thank you so much for your telling insight, DNA Prototype. If bitchy people would stop dogging my every post to make snide bitchy comments about me PERSONALLY rather than the IDEAS AT HAND then I MIGHT NOT at some point TURN AROUND AND TELL THEM TO CUT IT OUT. You know, you can't win at this frigging forum game. They dog you and pick at you no matter what. I posted in off-topic yesterday, wondering how long it would take somebody to follow me in and defame my character there, and what ho - a fabulous frigging THIRTY DAMN MINUTES. I ignored it. I can either tell them to get the hell out of my face or I can sit there and take it like a whipped puppy dog. I ignore 90% of it. But when I complain ABOUT FRIGGIN DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER WHEN FRIGGING DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER FOLLOWS ME AROUND THESE ARMPITS OF FORUMS ALL THE TIME then I'm a whiner doing myself worse harm than the bitches that won't get off my back. See? There is no win. I can ignore a lot, a WHOLE lot, but I'm no frigging doormat, either, so get used to it. Oh yes - there is one other option besides either taking continual abuse or being called a whiner for not taking it. And that is leaving the forums entirely. Which is exactly why people dog a person around and personally attack them at every post they make. They WANT people to leave who don't agree with their world view. Well screw that. Okay. I know I haven't posted much. I haven't even read all threads entirely, but I've been reading for a couple of months, so I know a lot of what's been said.
Coco, I've always liked your posts. You're very articulate, you're very easy to read, and you bring up a lot of valid points. I like the fact that you stand up to defend friends, even ones that everyone else around you doesn't like. However, lately, I've noticed a trend. Now remember, I've never once posted negatively about you, to you or around you even (i.e. you've never been the subject of one of my posts). But I have to say, calm down. I see you reacting this last week or so to anything that seems slightly askew to you. Even things that I see that are not referencing you. This is not one of those times so disregard the fact that I chose this thread to tell you. You are almost hysterical in your tone, and that's making you look like you are in fact putting yourself up on a cross. That and the fact that you are responding hysterically to things that aren't directed at you. Even if you come in later and apologize, saying you misunderstood etc and now know it wasn't directed at you, it still gives the martyr image that people are referencing to. As I said, you do bring up very valid points. Lately though, you've got a tone of hysteria that totally is discrediting the points you want to make, even if at the time, it's a good point. Does this make sense? I don't feel from what I have seen that you intentionally want to stir things up in forums, just for the heck of it. So that's why I finally decided to post. Just my thoughts. Interestingly enough, you defended your friend when he practiced what you describe above. Especially the bolded portion. Blaze does it too, and even admits to it. -Lure them in by making caustic accusations. -Backpeddle and/or claim, "I was talking about you, and if you think I was, you have a big ego, and have just revealed yourself.", or "it was a metaphor.", etc. For one who claims to be "afraid" to speak here since the policy change, you sure are yelling a lot. _____________________
