From: Ulrika Zugzwang When you say bounding box, are you referring to a squished up avatar mesh with a transparent skin?
You can determine your bounding box with llGetBoundingBox. Basically, the bounding box's height (z value) is the size of the unfolded avatar (the x and y values are always the same for all avatars). The animation that is being used with these tinies folds up the limbs and translates the hips down. This is evidenced by the fact that if you hop on top of a tinie, you'll actually be hovering about half a meter above their head because you're standing on top of their bounding box. As far as I can tell, they don't make use of invisible textures or invisiprims. Edit: I think there might be some misunderstanding here. Most of the responses in this thread (including mine) are discussing Wynx Whiplash's Tinies. On looking back, I think that Ulrika might have actually been asking about Tripper Tapioca's Smidge avatars. I have no idea about these as I have not seen any of them in world (Or maybe I have! They're so little I probably missed them!). I would assume though that the SmidgeZ are using an invisiprim and/or a series of animations to hide the actual avatar mesh.

I have made the Tiny Treehouse Paradise, which is now for sale on my property in Roseria. Description: Very good for squirrels I am a squirrel, lol. The house is tall enough to contain the Tinies Bunkbed, which is kind of tall, but adorable! (I forget who made it.) If you are interested, IM me in game. I'll be sending a notecard to Forseti, as well, for inclusion in his notcard about accessories created by other people, available where the Tinies themselves are sold. coco P.S. I just now put this in classifieds.

One of the coolest things about the Tinies is the inspiration. Lots of people who don't usually do much building are making some neato and cute things for their avs (little outfits, props, houses). I've seen some folks who've never sold anything -- who are pretty new here, and new to building -- trying to figure out how to set up vendors for their creations and selling lots of great stuff. Yay!

Hmmm. What I wrote just poofed. I was wondering, I haven't been in SL very long, has there ever been any other product you could buy that is such a hit and so well-received? Any other crazes? (I know nothing could be as cute as these are.) coco

Tringo - that's a good one. Any that are more on the order of ITEMS, though? Tringo is kind of a game (I realize the game has to be sold, but still). coco

I just bought my first tinies body. I'm impressed by the high quality. Bravo! Eugene Pomeray and I are working on a tinies house as we speak. It should be up for sale by tonight. ~Ulrika~

Let's see . . . Wynx's Mad Cats, chad's Nexcom phones, Fran's Seburo, RacerX's snails, Eddie's keyboard jobbies, Cubey's skydiving stuff . . . anything Torley-colored . . . Heck, this list could go on for a while. There have been a lot of popular things in SL.

Where's that little clever shorthand phrase I was going to think up. I haven't thought it up yet. Cubey's sky-diving thing, yes, that would be one. (Not that I was here for it.) The good thing about the Tinies is, unlike the other things, they advertise themselves wherever they go, just by being worn! Not that this takes a thing away from them at all. But I think it definitely helps in getting the word out. In any case, they are neat and a really terrific addition to second life. Kind of puts me in mind of when they released pets in TSO. No pets I have ever seen here are at all as cute as the TSO pets. But us ourselves as the pets? Now that is as cute, and even goes the TSO pets one or ten or a hundred times better!!! coco Edited to add: Oh! I misunderstood you, Ulrika. I thought you were saying someone might be envious of the house I made. Why would I be envious of anyone else? Didn't you think my house was cute?

Thanks for all the information on the technical aspects of the Tinies. I purchased a black cat and a black bunny and with them created a custom Tinies Fachwerk (Bavarian timbered house) and hamster ball. We were having so much fun running around and building as Tinies, that we built an entire subterranean Tinies version of Neualtenburg underground. There's a secret entrance 5 meters from the teleport pad. ~Ulrika~

The teeny tinies could be the little rabbits, frogs, kittens Wynx first made that went on one's shoulder. I still have those. So cute as well. I like being tiny, but it's only fun when you see more than one. All by yourself as a tiny, the world is so much bigger and you feel that much more alone. I like to walk around in my tiny au natural with only little flowers on. And I occasionally wear a hat to keep warm. They're fun. My favourite pose is when they are lying flat on the ground. Something about that just cracks me up. The paws are too cute.

Can someone send me a landmark where to buy one? Can someone make a kit so I can just make my own little badger or other tiny?
Also, would anyone be interested in tiny jetpacks, rocketbikes, or airships?

They're done via animations.
If you buy a kit (bragg, 205/79), you can get Francis Chung's free script (perhaps it's in the script library as well?) which will auto override the animations on your avatar.
The key is to create a bvh file which alters your avatar.
You can test this (you'll have to ruin an outfit, I think) by buying a tiny and then dragging the stand animation from the body object into your inventory and then opening and playing the animation.
The creator has an animation for when you're walking, running, etc.
Amazing detail work - in fact, quite astounding. Bravo!

Amazing detail work - in fact, quite astounding. Bravo! Oh holy CRAP! You mean I've been giving people refunds and free AVs because they've been STEALING Kage's anims out of the Tinies I make? I've had way too many people tell me they "accidentally" broke their AVs and could they have a new body. You people SUCK. On the lighter side, thanks to everyone for the compliments and support. Kage & I are going to put out an official kit soon (if he hasn't already) that should fit all current clothing and work with all current vehicles & furniture. It will be quite affordable. So stop stealing, find a little patience and make your own farking avatars. I will continue to make different little animals as long as it makes me happy and I'm quickly losing my happy thoughts.
