Reach down and that button on the front of the box under your desk (or next to the keyboard for you laptop types). Pick up the box that the button is on. Open a nearby window...

I don't know about you, but I really, really don't think that someone literally ASKING to be banned is a legitimate claim.

"Why'd you ban him?"
"He was asking for it."
"No, seriously, why?"
"Believe me, he was asking for it."

Seleine, it's called addiction. If someone had had the courtesy of permabanning me a long time ago, my life would probably have been much better :P
Then again, I would probably just find something else to get addicted to.

I'd rather be addicted to SL than TSO... Or There.com, for that matter.

There is a school of throught that the actual life of a person is only the core of their existence; it does not truly end until every ripple from every action they have ever taken is resolved, every person that knew them died.

Therefore, with malice aforethought, I have proceeded to your in-world land and taken pictures of the house from every angle, with the Edit dialog open to show you as the creator.

No need to thank me.

That is a very nice thought and gesture, thank you Aliasi.

im not here to explain my self, or my actions, and i wish i haded said nothing.

Fair enough... it's your right to not explain if you'd rather not. Just keep in mind, though: if at some point you do decide you need a friendly and sympathetic ear, there are several people here willing to oblige-- and, we all have bad days in SL, we all have crappy things happen to us that make us think of quitting, but all in all, it's a pretty cool place. Take a break, step back for a bit, see if you don't feel better later.

err.. I think he wants to be banned from SL. Not go to a "federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison". :p

Hahahahahaha.

I laughed out loud so bad.

Good to have you among us again, Pendari. Bonus points for Office Space, always.

Thank you Ilianexsi,
I do have moments in SL that make me feel crappy too, but thats not really the reason I felt the way i did, i mean like you said, you just take step back, and brush it off, my main problem is my RL, its something i cant walk away from or brush off, so most times i feel like giving up on everything.

But it is always nice to hear there are those who care, even if in a small way, its reassuring to see.

I dont want to come across as some sad person ether, or crave attention, it just happen that way with the responces it made, i guess wasent thinking straght to start off.

Still, IM in-world and I can upload 'em to my website and hand you an URL.

How to get banned:

These should be done quickly in succession:

1. Go to the scripting wiki. Look at the replication page. Edit a gun to go around shooting and pushing people, with replication. Unleash it in every sandbox you can find.

2. Start randomly harassing and cursing at people in-world. Use racial/religious slurs.

3. Start a forum post where you flame everyone. Bonus points if they're a Linden. Remember the racial/religious slurs.

4. Try to convince LL that you're underage.

5. Upload copyrighted material.

6. (This is a good one). Get the UUID of an online Linden, and then make a notecard and dialog spammer. Leave the spammer up. Multiply it, and spam as many Lindens as possible. Do it to a few prominent Residents as well. Try the stakeholders (Anshe Chung).

(Please note, I haven't actually done any of this stuff. I just took my list of "things not to do", and reversed it).

If you're banned, I recommend that you volunteer in your community, or find some religious belief. Nothing helps depression and obsession like having a decent purpose. Charity works well.

That's my take on this. However, I would seriously reconsider this. Take a day to cool off. Go on vacation for a while. Change your name.

Im letting SL account time out, uninstall, my house has a small purpus for someone there, so least its not all for nothing.

Good... I'm sure everyone who posted on this thread is no longer quite so worried about you.

We care more than we let on, trust me.

I hope you sort it out, and enjoy your first life. It's the best one you'll find.

Suprised no one suggested this before, altho I suppose you might get transfered to the teen grid instead of banned. But your not underage, so I'm not sure how it'd work out. Be an intresting experiment :p

But really I don't understand one thing, is your purpose to get the label "permanently banned" or completely "terminate" your avatar and every pixel that belongs to you such that they can never be recovered? There is a big distinction between those two.

Just have a female friend call LL asking about this credit card charge. Make them pretend that they're you're mother... "Yes, I let Bobby play this game. He's made so many friends..." yada yada yada. Or pretend that they're in a similar situation--i.e., they want their money back. Just "accidentally" let it slip that they're underage.

That's how Ryan Dayton was banned, so I'd assume it could happen again. Those who learn from history can imitate and repeat it...

LoL!

Why is it so difficult to understand he simply no longer wants his avatar out there?

Regardless of what his reasons for not wanting an in-world presence, they should be honored.

If I was to quit this game today, I would also want my account totally deleted, not placed 'on hold' for months.

I totally understand iDream's need for closure, for totally ending the relationship with SL. As long as your avatar shows up in the find function, you really have not ceased to exist...

I guess the corporate need for showing more bodies in-world, whether active or not, overrides his wishes as a customer.

Why is it so difficult to simply purge his account?

While pandastrong is the king of pithy image posting, Schwanson is the king of illustrative image posting. Not as epic as the "Second Life is like a Pizza," but it saved me from being disappointed I even bothered to read this thread.

Bravo.

So if you convince them you are a teen, and you get banned, that's ok. If you get transferred to the teen grid, then you convince them that you tricked them and are an adult in the teen grid. Then you get banned. I don't know that they would turn you over to the local police in the absence of evidence of improper interaction with a minor, but I'd bet they'd get rid of someone being such a troublemaker about what age they are.

Alternately, go the the Welcome Area and make pro-Nazi statements while wearing Hitler avatars. That might work.
