Oh? It makes a difference apparently. Your asses wouldn't be here repeating the same tired mantra, when every few months, someone who is connected to W-Hat takes things too far.

Whether they are ex members of W-Hat who were booted or not, I think this speaks volumes for the screening process, if there is any at all. If your constantly attracting a contingent of a-holes it's up to you to clean it up. When it goes on for a year or more, people start to wonder what the fuck is going on.

In response, Iridian, I;ve seen many member of the EDGE-ZECUTIVE group grief and bother other clubs. The Edge itself as a club has messed up Da Boom as a sim. I demand that all members of the group EDGE-ZECUTIVE be permabanned, cause some members have griefed.

Actually, I just refuse to deal with the Edge in any way shape or form. I was once a member of the VIP and let me say, after seeing some of the stuff, I took the high road and got the heck away from there. I won't go back there unless someone pays me 1mil L$ to! And even then, there will be some heavy thought involved.

Does this mean I want them banned? No.. Gah, that would be right stupid of me. I just won't go near the place. Besides, I happen to like my comp not bogged down by completely and utter LAG.

That was a really stupid reply. People who work to help others kick an addiction cannot be equated to those they are helping. Are doctors and nurses sick, because they treat sick people? However, the saying is much more appropriate when a 'group' or 'club' is concerned. Folks don't normally hang in a chess club if they don't like chess.

W-Hat has been associated with griefers, because so many members in the past have griefed. Have ALL of them griefed, no. But, every time one of your members gets caught griefing the forums explode with members of your group DEFENDING them. And you wonder why folks think W-Hat is a griefer group.

BTW when I first heard about the hacking, and what went on in IRC, my first thought was of W-Hat. Go, figure.

Dev, lemme flip some words about, and tell me how it sounds to you.


*Club X group* has been associated with *cybersex*, because so many members in the past have *cyberscrewed for money*. Have ALL of them *been escorts*, no. But, every time one of your members gets caught *cybersexing* the forums explode with members of your group DEFENDING them. And you wonder why folks think *Club X* is a *sex* group.


Now then, in this situation, you think it's ok for members of Club X to come in defence of a firend. I do. I see the same with W-Hat.

Course, in this case, I don't see much defending of what said idjit did.

Yeah, it looks more like a case of "Oops, one of 'us' got caught, so we'd better cover our butts," than a defending of someone that isn't even a friend? Ummm.. I'm confused now? What is the reason W-Hat is posting again?

Well, Raudf, I was sitting in the area when it happened. It wasn't "cover our butts" More like "Man, I wish we could go kick his sorry **** for doing this."

That would make more sense. If they had just posted something like that here, not worrying about what others say of the group as a whole, opinions might have be swayed. Defending the group is great, just.. make it more known that you are just as displeased as the rest of us when it happens. Although that's probably not making sense. Sorry, not enough caffiene yet.

Errr, no, actually, I don't.

I'm not a fan of group-think and hive-mentality... I understand I will be judged by the company I keep. If a signifigant visible amount of a group is known for doing X that I find objectionable, I will cease to assosiate with the group. I have left groups (Be they SL groups or RL groups or otherwise) for this in the past, and would do so again if the situation called for it.

There are people I used to hang around with in real life in jail or otherwise in legal trouble right now. I might be too if I hadn't made the descision that they weren't company I really cared to keep.

Totally understood, Raudf. Honely, many people of the W-Hat kinda do wanna go kick the idjit square in sensitive places, and have very, vocally said so. Everyone started in with, and a good dose of helping from some of our less liked friends, with the "W-Hat masterminded the whole thing!", and it's snowballed.

I don't see anyone having said, "W-Hat mastered the whole thing." I haven't seen anyone say, "Every single member of W-Hat is a griefer asshole." W-Hat members keep claiming these things, and that everyone hates them, yet I haven't seen a quote of this nature yet for anyone talking about them?

What I do see being said, and what is valid is:

"I'm not surprised a member/members of W-Hat did this." (Again, not talking about the WHOLE GROUP as is claimed, just a few members)
"W-Hat has a pattern of having a LOT of griefer members, intentionally creating things they will know offend people, and coming to the forums to try to improve their reputation by claiming victim." (AGAIN, not the whole group)
"W-Hat seems to want total freedom, even when their freedom infringes on other peoples' freedom; however, if one is to infringe upon W-Hats freedom, there will be hell to pay." (Something I've noticed by those asking for TOTAL FREEDOM in SL and such.)

Just some things I've noticed. I know not every W-Hat member is a total griefer asshole, for one; however, I also know that when I've been called in to deal with a griefer situation from various volunteer organizations, more often than not, W-Hat members have been involved.

Hmm well I went over to a neighbour's house last night to see why there were a couple of people sitting in it firing things into the air. When I said hello, one of them (by profile a member of W-Hat) said hello to me, the other (his pal but by profile not apparently a member) immediately used a push gun on me. These small things add up.

I dunno how anyone with David Hasslehoff as thier avatar can be offended at anything.. Jesus....

Let me explain a little difference to you... David Hasselhoff in recursion is humorous. Constant use of the term "fag" in a derogatory fashion is not. In perusing Mr. Plastic Duck's web site, its quite apparent he's not only an ass, but a racist ass. Intolerance seems to be a hallmark of many W-Hat members (just look at their very own rules listing) and Plastic Duck himself.
