From: Cristiano Midnight As much as I often disagree with Kiamat, I think his reason for bringing up Bill O'Reilly was not to say "See, Bill O'Reilly agrees with me!" - it was to point out to Chip (and Reitsuki) that the "can't they just be Irish people and not GAY Irish people" philosophy was in lock step with Bill's feelings on the matter. Given that both posters tend to generally 4be left leaning and not exactly Fox News ideal demographic, it is just a little swipe at the irony of it. I'm left leaning?  I tend to be *socially* a bit to the left... but, really, it's more of being in the middle. Either way, that has little to do with O'Riley. He's not near as much of a conservative as some people think on some topics. I don't think you will ever find anyone who can say "I agree with Bill 100%"... His views are all over the board. He says SOMETHING that almost anyone would disagree with. Likewise, he's probably said SOMETHING almost anyone agrees with. Insert analogy about busted chronometers and laws of probability here.

Now, I would like to point out - I don't watch his TV show. That might be a little different. He criticises the president a fair bit there, hardly a "ticker tape machine" for the whitehouse.

It is a double standard. I also agree with Nolan that insularity is counterproductive in trying to move towards a colorblind society. Also, the difference between MTV and BET is that it's not called black music television. It's just about music, not the race of the people making it.
