Seriously... attached is the picture of Bush as he's discussing why warrantless searches are legal (even though there's a system in place to give warrants after the fact so law enforcement can act quickly). This is so typical, too. Is it just me, or does Bush come off totally like an asshole not taking this issue seriously. And his laugh - that interrupts his speeches so often - is so condescending. From this article: http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/26/bush.ap/index.htmlI invite you folks to post your own caption. "Is it legal? Heheheh, of course it's legal! I'm Mr. Pres!" Oh, and to show that it's not a freak shot, here's another: "Pardner, now, calm down... it's only til the War on Terrorism is over! When's that? When every last terrorist is dead!"

Well, sure, I would be. Off Off Topic, I heard a story on the radio the other day while taking MLK day to clean up the cesspool that is my house (randomly heard Penn Jillette on the radio). Story: his actor buddy, who is politically minded, had metal cards the size of playing cards printed with the Bill of Rights on them. Had the 4th amendment highlighted in red. That way when you go through a scanner at the airport, it will go off. You pull it out and hand the metal card to the security dude and tell him, "Oh. It's just my rights. Here, take them."

And the Bush haters just keep rolling on. Keep it up is all I can say. You are writing the republican ticket to the white house in the next election by focusing so much on your hatred of President Bush. May I be the first one to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are helping keep the democrats out of office. Thanks!!!

Did you see him when he was asked how many Iraqi civilians had been killed so far and he answered that it was somewhere around 30,000? It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen and he followed it up with a joke. He's a giant asshole.

I prefer this picture, though. From: http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/24/nsa.strategy/index.htmlProtesters hold up a sign while Attorney General Alberto Gonzales speaks at Georgetown University. Yes, that's a quote from Benjamin Franklin.

Given #1, even I cringe when I see Bush give a public speech and then try to explain to someone who just saw his bafoonery why anything he said could be taken seriously, much less has any value. I'm sure he would be great at the local Chamber of Commerce Roast, but as a figurehead for the US, not a pleasant sight. I am making NO points about Republicans, current policy, Bush's overall competency level, etc. Simply commenting on his delivery style.

-Ghoti That's the "I think this question is ridiculous, but I'm going to restrain my laughter and pretend I'm taking it with some serious thought" look. I feel that Bush is not a Republican. Or a democrat. He's a dictator and the cronyism is widespread. Why Bush isn't Republican? - He's skyrocketed debt and deficit. Republicans are for cutting debt. - He's increased the size of government. Republicans are for smaller government. - He's taking away our freedoms. Republicans have long been for defending Freedoms. (If only Bush defended speech and privacy like he does guns.) The only "Republican" thing he's done is slash taxes, mostly for the rich - capital gains, income, real estate - these aren't things that benefit the poor or middle class.
