News flash Mary, noone gives a rats ass what you THINK, because its all open to interpretation. Opinions are like assholes, we all have them, and they all stink.

immediately followed by an opinion.... Typical...

This thread brings this to mind:

You think Bill will last that long? He was looking pretty haggard last time I saw him. His diet does him no good.

He will if Hillary can keep him under control and his pants on. LOL

Some Texans didn't vote for Bush. We don't appreciate being splattered by your broad brush.

I didn't vote for either Bush. Although this will be interesting for the history books... I can see the great quote now... They will refer to the Bush/Clinton/Bush years as ...

** wait for it **

You really are a bitter man aren't you? How do you go on living with your heart bleeding so copiously?

Even if I wasn't biased, which I am, information like this just makes me really wonder how "honest" elections really are. Recently in Texas, I had to call the police because a woman was picketing within the entrance to the building where polls were being held. She was well within 50 feet of a voting booth, and was holding up cards that said a vote against Proposition 2 was a vote for Satan himself. *sigh* The local staff didn't want to move her because she is an outspoken activist in the local Christian churches.

At first I read "a vote for Santa himself" and was truly aghast.

The two parties are the same. They occupy the same middle ground. There are a select few issues that differentiate, but these are issues that will NEVER get sorted out. The main thrust of all politicians is Getting Elected. What follows from ALL of them is cronyism and money misdirection. They battle for control based on promises and stances that they will never follow through with. They are using all of you.

We all have hot point issues that direct us to vote for one person over another, but the sooner you realize that they have pitted the populace in a seesaw battle against one another for their own purposes, the better off you will be. The blind allegiance to either side that is apparent in these posts is disturbing.

Bush is not Satan. Kerry is not The Saviour. And vice versa. They are all hideously flawed and very rich people playing a game at our expense.
