Is it possible for Fox to look any worse than they already do?

I think it's hilarious when the rightwingers complain that Fox isn't being fair to the ultrarightwingers.

I think the biggest benefit AND threat from these westboro nutjobs is that their arrogant anti-American hate speech may actually bring people from the left and the right together to oppose them.

And I worry about the freedom of speech we have in this country should the left and the right ever agree on anything long enough to silence that little asylum of inbred hatred in some legal way.

Let them rant and wave their signs.

Don't like what their saying? Express your own point of view by standing upwind and spray paint your message onto your own posterboard. Make sure to empty as many cans of spraypaint as you possibly can.

I agree completely. We are seeing it happen on this little forum, the right and left agreeing, willing to silence an unpopular opinion.

I never said where I stand on the issue, yet we see hatred coming from some here, directed at me simply for suggesting news reporters should report the news and not make news. This reporter wasn't interviewing, she was arguing with someone whom the news agency had invited to discuss beliefs and actions.

Those who show such disdain for the right of unpopular speech are the biggest threat to our rights and freedom. The actual content of the unpopular speech was no threat at all. The woman spouting these things doesn't threaten my freedoms.

Not at all... disdain for bigotry is a good thing. Nobody is suggesting that she can't have her opinions, we just find it hillarious that someone did to her exactly what she does to everyone else.

Potentially. Stranger things have happened. No matter how outwardly offensive hate speach is, repeat it enough some some people will start to listen. It's happened before.

The distinction here is, I can respect the differences, without respecting the belief itself.

For example, I respect a persons right to be racist - but I don't respect racism.

Caution becomes paranoia when there isn't anything to support a healthy dose of caution.
