Hey, you know, if you're so fucking dissatisfied with your level of service from a cutting edge internet startup, why not just cancel your account and move on with your life?
Shit, or get off the pot.

First off, are we supposed to be sympathetic to you because you chose to pay that much a month? Honestly, I don't care how much you pay and probably no one else does, either. It doesn't mean you should be serviced any better than anyone else who has even a basic account.
Second, it's residents like you that piss me off. Before people like you came, the community was tightly linked with the people who worked at Linden Labs and the residents. We were all friends and looked at a linden more like a person than someone there to service us. You should appreciate the work they put into the world instead of shooting them down. Third, you are simply attacking what you don't understand when you single out Philip. It is clear to me that you have absolutely no idea how the company functions so you simply attack the only name you know. Fourth, I have noticed that Linden Labs tends to release all their changes at the same time. They won't simply fix one thing, release a new version, and fix something else and release the next version. If they did, we'd be up to 1.5.254. They have consistantly done what I want them to do and keep the smaller updates in one package. It saves us from the annoyance of having to download a new version every day. Unfortunately, it brings out the idiots like you, Bran. _____________________

Wrong, it's Philip--for taking our money, using our builds to sell SL and refusing to fix the building bugs. I'd refuse too if I had to deal with you complaining all the time. In the words of the common instant messaging user, SHUT THE FUCK UP! ![]() _____________________

I guess it never occured to any of you that LL could actually fix the long outstanding well reported building bugs. It's all priroities and the person who sets them.

I guess it never occured to any of you that LL could actually fix the long outstanding well reported building bugs. It's all priroities and the person who sets them. Most likely, they've made changes to the building system that haven't yet been implemented. Like I said in my earlier post, it is usually trend to release these updates all at once. Please, log off, sit down somewhere, and contemplate the asshole you've been for the last few hours. It will benefit all of us if you rethink your actions. I also want you to contemplate the following: do YOU know how to fix the problem you're having? If not, don't expect someone to have the answer. While Linden Lab does a very good job, there are always bugs that are more difficult to fix than others. Don't expect them to be able to fix ALL of your problems in a few days! _____________________

I guess it never occured to any of you that LL could actually fix... Bran - I know you probably won't, but in the vain hopes that you might, I have a suggestion for you: READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! READ THE F'ING POSTS IN THIS THREAD! This is NOT A BUG. Rotating something as you described is the exact same thing as rotating it by the amounts specified in the dialogs after they "change". Take one object, rotate it by the amounts you specified. Then take the numbers that are shown. Build a new object, plug those "bad" numbers in to that prim. Ta-Da! Same freakin' result! Now, everyone wouldn't be jumping all over you for bringing this issue up, if you'd asked politely about this "effect" in either this forum or the "Building" sections of the forum. But since you came across like an ass, you're going to get treated like one. I know you've gotten defensive by this point in my post and probably aren't reading anymore - but I made that last statement to assuage my conscience and maybe, just maybe make a point to any other person thinking of making a post like this. Whether Honey or Dogsh*t catches more flies is irrelevant. If you want help, you'd better not sound like an ASS when people read your posts. Asking a question, or making a statement out of ignorance is not a problem - but arrogance and disrespect are a problem! I agree with LF and every other response to this entire thread: If you hate it, quit! No one is putting a gun to your head to play SL. If you're just doing this to get attention, then for god's sake be more creative. Being a Troll like this only gets you muted/banned - so your posts are eventually ignored by everyone anyways! Take care, --Noel "HB" Wade (Tread Whiplash) |

Yep, you are all correct, there are no building bugs. Philip is always right, even when he isn't. Yep, SL is perfect. Yep, denial feels so good. Yep.

Your only quoted "bug" is a result of quaternion conversion. It's not a bug, jackass. If anyone's in denial about this, it'd be you after about 2 dozen posts handed your self-righteous ass to you on a plate. Careful there, Bran, you're still sizzling. LF _____________________

In the real world, not SL, bug reports are responded to, numbered and fixes reported to the submiter. As far as anyone can tell SL bug reports are mass deleted, probably by the email deamon. that's can't be true because they're mass replied to every time a new version is released. _____________________

And maybe explain why they're "broken" to begin with? Yeah... I can't seem to see what's wrong with it. I experienced prim drift a couple times a few minor updates ago, but since then -- it's been fine again. _____________________

It is clear to me that you have absolutely no idea how the company functions so you simply attack the only name you know. I think you're right on the first part, he might not understand how the company works he buys service from. Does he need to? I think not. I don't need to know how TESCO works inside yet i still can have an opinion on what i see on the outside. That said, I think Bran might be right that there are build tools that need fixing. I've noticed one annoying thing, that's more of a bug than a feature to me: if you select multiple objects, and try to set any coordinate (X,Y,Z), it just sets one objects's coords. Don't tell me that's the way it has to be. Yes, i know a workaround (for close objects): link it, modify Z, unlink it. But that doesn't work for too far objects. And it has many limitations (you can't just link and unlink already linked/grouped objects). |

I remember a few weeks back my RL friend was begging Philip to add the ability to use vertices in SL. Philip explained to him that there is a degree of programming involved as it goes into changing the core of building tools. My friend totally understood what philip was talking about and left it there... he didnt come on to the forums (mind you wrong catagory) and start cussing like an old truck driver in a bar. <poke poke> wakey wakey Jeska ^_^ _____________________

Bran: rotations that are entered in the Edit box are added to current rotation. You'd have understood that with simple experimenting: res a cube, rotate it 90 degrees around Y, then 90 degrees around Z and you get a combination of the two rotations, not just (Euler)<0,90,90>.
As for acting on multiple prims at a time: the Edit box is for a single prim, the mouse-drag controls (resize, move, rotate) act on all selected objects. Yes it's not very intuitive and sometimes I wish the coordinates on top of the screen were the full 3 significant numbers instead of two, but so far it hasn't stopped me doing whatever modelling I want to do. _____________________

Last time i checked philip was not a programmer, why not voice your problems with a bug report again and/or email some of the coding lindens ?
