Login Failed: no_inventory_host

I was getting the inventory msg so I tried the new upgraded version with no luck. So then I unstalled and reinstalled and now my msg says "Unable to connect to Second Life. Despite our best efforts, something unexpected as gone wrong."

Hopefully its still just the inventory deal because since I unstalled I have no choice but to get the latest version, it makes you upgrade. I just wish it would let me in soon, I've been trying for 6 hrs.

MY ASS... from yesterday afternoon... could take up to 5 hours to fix the login.....Uhmmmm on hour 12!!!

About hour 14 for me now with inventory problems. I'm not sure what LL mean when they say it won't be fixed until 'well into tomorrow'. I'm 8 hours ahead of PST, so that sounds like I might lose access for most of today as well.

Unfortunately I have no way to contact my SL friends using any other methods so they probably think I've given up on them (

Word. I have been an administrator for an online game server and even though the project was very small, stability was a key priority. Online users simply run off too quickly, you can't let that happen if you're serious about what you're doing.

I can log in all my characters, but the one that i sent some items too. I can not log her in, I think pending the inventory from one character to another. All others are able to log in.

Sounds like it's getting better...

I have not been able to log in sinse the start of this issue; and then only once sinse the issues the day before (I'm confused here and think it may have been three days with only one log in attempt working).

I thought i'd tell you guys what I see as I get the feeling from reading the thread that it's not the same for all.

The sl logon screen is odd: I still see thw time as 10:13 am PST and it's been like that for the duration. The GRID STATUS say 'Online' but then it always does so I guess that's not a live report. The screen says 41,661 users online and that has not changed once. The 'News and Information' area does NOT show the latest issues (I got angry yeterday and convinced myself that LL were hiding the reality but I'm less mad now lol).

This all is a shame as I was having fun as a noob; I even got a job. I guess my boss will forgive me. It's not a bad excuse is it: 'Sorry boss but I couldn't come to work as the world didn't exist again today.'

So...perhaps this is what happens if you grow faster than you are capable of. I see the big man said something like that in his feel good blog entry. I'm not sure that's the kind of thing i'd admit too though: "Sorry all but we were too busy growing and letting in all the noobs we could (like Alice hehe) to be bothered to look after your interests." Doesn't sound so good phrased like that does it?

I couldn't login for last 17 hours (only once for a few minutes) and still can't. I have a job and other things and I should get in. Need urgent help.

ok i have managed got get both my alt and my roommates alts to login despite the "inventory ststem" error, it just takes time. Basicaly each time the error popped up i noticed the loading bar was a little further along, so i kept trying and 10 -15 attempts later once the bar was full it connected us. Once in-world everything worked normally for us, unless we logged out and then had to repeat it all again.

So no cure but a possible way to logon for anyone still suffering.

Just thought I'd say thanks for that. 5 tries got me in )

Have been waiting for over 16 hours and i still have the same problem......really bored now.....

yeah...I noticed the bar was moving last night..and I did just exactly what you did and STILL nothing..

This has gotten flat out ridiculous! As much money as we spend on this we should be able to log on...and not have to wait 2 days to do it...woke up this morning and it's 11am where I'm at and STILL nothing...

FTW!?!? I'm sure they were working their little tails off yesterday..but now it's a holiday..and I'm guessing NOTHING is gonna be done about 'til tomorrow..guess we are just SOL..

It is simple yall, LL has your money and they know they will continue to get your money . So a issue as such they figure its a holiday no reason to put much effort into fixing it most wont be online anyhow. So they will sit back enjoy their time off and IF we are lucky the issue will be fixed by monday provided they dont break 10 other things in the process of fixing this one. SL is a cash cow to them and know people are addicted to their virtual world and will persist as a crackhead does to score. Nothing we can do about it as we are all at the mercy of the lindens. Just seems like poor buisness to treat your customers as LL has done theirs for so very long.

i've been trying to log in for over 24 hours now, same error...inventory currently unavailable...i tried the wait till the bar is full trick starting last night, but nothing, didn't even look like it was really trying....status says 41k online, but time is says 10:25 am PST.....which was yesterday, right before i got logged out and got the inventory message. i'm not really hopeful for a fix on this issue today either...i would love to be IW right now, while the turkey is cooking, but i bet most (if not all) of the support staff also has a turkey in the oven. i just felt the need to say (although i'm sure i'm not the only one) that a SLOW login is definitely preferable to NOT being able to log in at all

P.S. wonder how Kate's turkey tastes.......

Yeah still can´t login for almost a day now because of this inventory error... I was able to get in about an hour ago, but I got kicked out again and now the same error as before... Slowly this really pisses me off !

I did this last night and got in and stayed in for 3 hrs, then it crashed of course, but I was able to get back with only 3 attempts. I tired right before posting this and got in again, it took about 20 attempts, and even got a different error a couple times but I could see the progress bar moving. I know others have tried and it hasn't worked, but it's worth a chance.
