This happened to me previously, took them a week to fix the issue, thanks to a great Linden.
Anyhow now getting the same loging error. Dont worry all your inventory is safe. They are aware of it and hopefully fixed soon. They do know how to fix this easily once the right person is around. Just sit back and enjoy the ride until its back.

I'd sure like to hear something official about this issue, It worrying me when they are quiet its like "maybe they will just leave it be and not pursue it since its a loss cause" I have seen this happen in other games and development where they are quiet and trying to figure out a way to break the bad news :( PLEASE LINDENS GIVE US SOME ASSURANCE.

From Italy..

I tried the 1.13 and the 1.14 too...

Till 5am (gmt+2 ITA time) everything work.. and the 1.14 works too!

Now the client tell me:

"
Unable to complete transform:
'copy inventory to new database'
Please contact [email]support@secondlife.com[/email]
"

Please all you Linden.... Stop with these problems and bugsss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everything work very soon. :(


PS:
I tried everything and update the drivers gfx card too!...
But it's a problem of Linden's database!!! :( :(

I have the same problem here in germany.

I had this problem a week ago. Only responds from Support after 1! week:

"Dear Second Life Resident,

Thank you your inquiry.

In an attempt to match our 24 hour time frame for all technical support
inquiries and to provide better service; we are sending you this
message."

Ok the issue was solved before, because I called the support in the US. But that cost me a lot of money because I had to dial in more than 10 times and being in a waiting loop everytime for 10 minutes. Finally I got someone on the line and they solved it in 2 hours.

I hope Linden is really working on this and the problem is solved soon. You dont need to reinstall anything because it is an internal database error and has nothing to do with your system.

Actually I must say, I am very pissed off at the moment.

How to get it fixed.


1. Log into an alt or have a friend do it for you.
2. Contact live help, tell them the error you are getting and the name of the AV with the problem.
3. ??
4. Profit.

Yeah because the support is a joke!

I have the same problem too... the second time now and I tried to solve it in the first time with that fake-support... I needed more than 5 days to find someone to solve it!

Hi there,

I wasn´t able to log in myself (free account)

My wife´s account worked just fine. now reading this Thread after 9 hours of trying and losing Lindens (missed apointment, building was in my inventory) it works.

You could have created a new free account, logged in and gotten it fixed in the time it took you to write up this whiny post.

Tried creating new account, seemed to go through fine (now says name's no longer available)

but i can't seem to login with it, at all, I kow the password and name is correct. So going in under new alt isn't working for me :(

Would anyone who's already got back in be so kind as to contact live help for me and give them my sl username so they can fix it, pretty pretty please!!!

Same error as everyone else, the copying to fast database failed on login message.

If my inventory is lost, i've lost everything i've worked for constantly the last 5 months. I could have finished all my university work by now... >_<

Well its good to know that enough of us have rasied enough hell with them that they are going to do something about this. So I hope for all of us with this problem, that it is fixed soon. Everyone cross your fingers that your 1000's of dollars of stuff is all there! :)

Fixed.

Make an Alt account, say in Help any Linden can transfer your main characters inventory manually.

It seems to happen when you're inventory is huge and it probably times out before your 6000 items are transfered.

I'm back in woot!, inventory all restored. phew! (I have about 4700 items in mine at the mo)

If thats down to someone passing on my name to help, a big thank you to whoever that was :)

God dammit I didn't get any of the real life stuff done now. lol


Though in case I do ever get hit by the lost inventory thang, i've started to store created and bought copy items into prim contents on my land, juuuust in case it does ever happen, I won't loose those at least.

I know some people like to transfer copy items to an alt logged on at same time doing it that way.

Yep, my alt had 300 items at most (not including library), and my main has 9000 :)

i have the same problem. i can not login for 24 h. I sent a mail to the support, i sent a mail directly to a linden, after contacting via a second account. But nothing happens. Perhaps its the wrong time, US is sleeping.

I hope somebody is working on that. The blog entry is still the same.
