Diane, you are quite mistaken in a great deal of what you say. If I want to categorize Avatars and publish those lists, or screenshot them, or post their locations, I have been told by Linden it is legal, because the info is public. People and land scanners are perfectly legit.
You appear unaware of my crusade AGAINST this. I'm THE most outspoken person in SL on the topic. But what I propose in my OP is perfectly legit. ANY public info, of ANY kind, that can be observed or tracked in game, can be published. ANY AND ALL. So if I see somebody banging a little girl avatar or engaging in Age Play, I can screenshot it, blog it, and publish it. Go ask a Linden.

I am personally mixed by this because its basic how most av's are sl for height, everyone's normally over the 6-7ft in beginning then the ones who are on longer are usually most unique. Plus for the cybering issue, who wants to know where there engagued in what act? That just invites more people to come spy on sexual activities. Dunno about you, but i dont want to be spied on when being perverted!
That to me feels like an invasion of privacy, between you and that other person. Sometimes its bad nuff with some the sexual pics that come up sometimes on the main website. BUT hey its not my job, nor is it anyone else's. I could just see some noobs or some friends commin by to peek on people havin sexual relations. I mean sheesh its bad nuff people gotta retreat to sky boxes to hide from general populace... |

Sorry, bud, but everyone who has a cause always claims the moral high ground which is what you are doing with your crusade. In my professional opinion Dianne's post is 100% correct. Let's take it one step further. We all know there are racist/Nazi types in SL so why not identify all of the Jews in SL and put a little Star of David showing their location on the map to make it easier for the Nazis to find them? To the Nazi types this would only be right as it supports their crusade. Maybe there could even be a special sim just for Jewish people and it could be called Buchenwald. Do you see where I am going with this? We all have certain things we don't like in SL and every single one of us can claim it's our moral right to identify them and to muffle their rights to free speech. Standing on a soap box and claiming you are against child abuse has nothing to do with SL. It is nothing more than a troll. _____________________

LL has stated any in-game info, like AV whereabouts, name/key data, activities, and such, are all public info. ALL. They wouldn't want to get in the way of bloggers and, as they told me, "world building" and such. Quick summary blah blah blah BOO! Frankly noone cares and frankly if you are going to make lists like that it will be viewed as a griefer service, useless, or a dating service. Coming from another game that SUPPORTED nonconcetual acts I was listed as an elitist in being the most aggressive in that area. So agressive some information was leaked that should not have been. My answer was to shrug and go "oh well". I even turned it into a joke and welcomed newbies with that name (as it was different from my avatar name). You post seems to be just another paranoid, stir the pot, post as many of your others have been in the past that I have seen. _____________________
