Well duh. Life isn't fair. If it was, good things would happen to good people. Shitty people would get what they deserve. And I would be exhausting four hot women instead of posting in the forums.

Content in SL costs Nothing to Produce
Hello! My time isn't worth nothing. Buying and learning software isn't free. Upload costs, rental or land costs, advertising costs.... And what do you get? Something that you probably sell for under $1. You have to sell a lot of those to get back all your time and $$.

It's OK to Profit off other People's Hard Work
Yes boys and girls. Stealing is fine. If something gets bugged, or goes out as a freebie, then of course some enterprising asshole can grab it and make a $L. I learned stealing was wrong at about age 5, didn't everyone? The neighbor leaves his grill out all the time. I can take it and use/sell it, does that make it OK? And why the hell would you ruin your reputation for a few $L?

It's OK to Write like a Tard
None of this applies to folks whose 2nd language is English.
You look like a tard when you use "leet speak" to post. Readers not only think you're a moron, but usually stop reading in favor of something interesting like scratching themselves. Also, being unable to construct an intelligable sentence with capitalization, reasonable spelling, and the ENTER key makes you look like you flunked out of grade school.

No One Wants to Know about Your Personal Shit
It's true. This is not Springer, although it sometimes seems like it. Everyone has pretty much heard all the drama, so yours is likely a re-run. I don't care if Mistress whips you every night. You won't get any sympathy here, instead you're likely to get ARed once the other party climbs on and the cat fight ensues. Only post your personal, in-world drama if it is (1) unique (2) hysterically funny (3) involves transporting llamas across sim lines for immoral purposes.

Some people seem to forget a few very important principles: (a) you're not the only person in the world, it's not all about you and if you've been new to SL within the last year it's probably already happened to dozens of other people; (b) The idea on forums is to c-o-m-m-u-n-i-c-a-t-e. That means using words, phrases and spelling that other people actually understand. If you want them to hear your meaning instead of translating your gobbledygook, take a class in English. If you're not a native English speaker don't fret it, just remind us now and then.

This is a very tough lesson to learn and master. The reason it seems like you are the only person in the world is because you experience the world through your perspective. Its often times very hard to appreciate the situation from another point of view.
