Yes, and they will probably be rewarded with a trip to the Cornfield, which is specially for those people who break the rules on purpose, rather than those who simply talk back to other residents.

What can/should they do?

They do now report these to the FBI for what it's worth. Perhaps LL should use the client to infect the culprit's box with some malicious code?

Well, the last time we heard a couple hours when this happened with the previous self-replicating attack, it was down for what 6+ hours? Yeah, I'd say bedtime here too.

This is getting rediculous, I hope the Lindens examined the reason the last outtage lasted so long and came up with a game plan to deal with it quicker the next time it happened (ie: now). There needs to be a better authentication process and way to validate someone. It may not be the case for this attack, but it seems to me it's fairly trivial for someone to just simply create another alt and start all over again.

yup 3rd time this week its gone down for me and 2nd time during an event, hard nuff getting people there and when they do show up this bs happens, ive bout had it with this bs, im looking for a refund and move onto something else.
Too much hassle for the rediculas amount of money i dump into this hole.
